Useful middle-distance performer on the Flat who has twice been beaten at odds-on over hurdles; done very little wrong in either race though. Improved a little last time over 3f further; no surprise if he goes one better, handicaps another option.
Point-to-point winner on his second start in that discipline but showed very little on his Rules debut; finished last in a Chepstow bumper. Beaten 97L on that occasion and with the yard quiet, best watched on hurdles debut.
Rules debut for a half-brother to fairly useful chaser Present Flight out of a dam who was a bumper winner. Fell when in front at the last in only Irish point-to-point (May 2017); sold soon after for £48,000; may need this but note market confidence.
Second in only Irish point-to-point (well beaten; only two finished); offered little encouragement for the future on his Rules debut. Always behind at Ascot last time (150-1 SP); looks one for handicaps after this outing.
Formerly with James Ewart his career there was punctuated by absences and a wind op; looked hard to train. Well held on all three completed starts for his current yard and unseated first last time; not one to be interested in.
Second on his only start in Irish point-to-points (beaten 1L; race working out well) he made his Rules debut at Ffos Las (2m4f, heavy) some nine months later. Moved well through that race (jumped well) before stopping quickly; open to improvement.
0-6 in point-to-points (pulled up first two; runner up last two) before being given a wind op. Well held in both starts so far over hurdles he's achieved little so far; would have to show more here to be of interest in handicaps.
Started favourite on his bumper debut; lived up to his smart pedigree to win despite showing signs of inexperience. Two completed hurdles runs have shown promise (still looked rough around edges); unlucky last time, hampered and unseated at start.
Showed a modicum of ability in bumpers but has never shown anything more than that over hurdles (0-5). Given trouble in her races the last twice and refused to start last time; blinkered for the first-time; hard to trust.
Scored on her third bumper start (2m, heavy) showing some good battling qualities but having the edge in inexperience and track position. Looked as though she would be better for the run on hurdles debut (2m); progress likely especially over further.

The smart Flat handicapper BIRDS OF PREY has so far been beaten twice over hurdles at short odds but he’s done very little wrong in either defeat and gets a good chance to make amends here. He won’t have events all his own way though as Umndeni bids to make up for his mishap at the start last time on the back of two good hurdling efforts ( looked smart on bumper debut). He does still look to have a bit to learn though and another placing could be on the cards. Minella Examiner went well last time out and hopefully he will last home this time while Grange Ranger should be noted for a market move having cost plenty after falling in his only point-to-point; connections have been very patient.
