Brian Boru mare, landed a Clonmel handicap (2m3½f, good) in November off a mark of 102, her second 2018 win at that track. Well beaten fourth since at Limerick from this mark and now set to tackle 3m for the first time.

Very consistent since joining Willie Mullins, with form figures of 21222 since the autumn, latest second at Tramore on New Year's Day. Creeping up ratings all the while, but unexposed over 3m and likely to run his race.

Mare is just 1-23 in her career and she lost her way towards the backend of 2018, both over hurdles and fences. Hard to make a clear case in her favour at the moment.

3m Tipperary winner in October has ran well in four of her five subsequent starts, including here, and most recently when third of 14 at Tramore on New Year's Day. Return to this trip should help from unchanged mark.

Scored over 2m4f (heavy) around here in February last, has potential over this trip on Tipperary run in May but must put two laboured efforts at Limerick since reappearance behind him.

Placed in sole point-to-point run, he's run into some useful sorts in maiden hurdles to this point, but still must find a deal of improvement on first handicap start. Up in distance to 3m should help.

Strong in the betting on stable debut at Punchestown (3m, good) this month and got the job done in clever style despite late jumping error. Has gone up 9lb for the win but not one to discount.

Placed in a heavy ground maiden hurdle over 2m at Limerick in April. Struggled in three starts since however, including when upped in distance on handicap debut at same venue last time. Plenty more called for.

Couple of respectable efforts in bumpers in the summer but has been completely of his hurdling game in four dour efforts since October. Looks a tall order on form shown at Punchestown earlier in the month.

Has shown precious little in five-race career under rules, though did win a point-to-point earlier this month in decisive style at Tinahely. Worth a betting check here.

Made pleasing start in 2m Thurles maiden hurdle in November (sixth), not really improved on that in two further outings at Navan and Tramore, but could be more to come now upped in journey/handicapping.

Just 2-32 over hurdles in his career, both wins coming at Limerick over shorter trips and most recently in 2015. Not completely without hope in two starts since joining this yard, but is untested over 3m and others preferred.

Unplaced in seven starts over hurdles thus far, latest over 2m5f (soft) at Limerick last month when sporting first-time blinkers. Likely has a career in chasing to look forward to.

Winner of a 2m5f handicap hurdle at Tramore in April off a 4lb lower mark, didn't appear to get home over this trip next time at Kilbeggan and uncompetitive in two starts since returning from summer break.

Mare is lightly-race and did put up her best effort last time at Wexford (2m6½f, yielding to soft) when offered additional stamina test. Low-mileage and may offer a bit more upped in distance.

15-race maiden but not dismissed after placed efforts over C&D and at Punchestown this month already. Inched up in the ratings for those efforts, but can go well again here.

0-16 over timber previously, sole pair of successes coming over larger obstacles. Form doesn't warrant support in this contest having been readily dismissed over the trip at Punchestown 12 days ago.

My Forever Friendp29
Age: 11|  Weight: 9-11| J: S J Crimin(2)| T: J J Hanlon| OR:  80| D

Poor 80-rated handicap hurdler who had been running well in a number of point-to-point appearances prior to being put in his place last month at Limerick. Facing another uphill task here it seems.

Verdict

GOODNIGHTGODBLESS comes here in the midst of a decent run of form and the return to 3m should see him in the mix again from an unchanged mark following a good showing at Tramore early in the month. He's just about the value call in a wide open heat. Eight And Bob has sparkled since joining Willie Mullins team and could well have more to give tackling this longer trip. Having made a winning start for his new connections Global Racing will be attempting to defy a hefty ratings rise in his follow up, though it would be churlish to dismiss him. Cher Why Not is considered while handicap debutant Apocalypse is a possible improver.
