Robin De Carlow48
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-6| J: Ruby Walsh| T: W P Mullins| OR:  135| BF
7/2
Robin Des Champs mare with three wins in five starts over timber. Disappointing favourite in Grade 3 stayers' novice hurdle over 3m at Cork (soft to heavy) last time, with conditions likely a big factor. Should bounce back down in trip.
2
Horse silk
Honeysuckle35
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-1| J: Rachael Blackmore| T: H De Bromhead| OR:  135| C
6/4
Now 2-2 over timber for Henry De Bromhead following impressive Listed win at Thurles (2m, good) last month (beat Sassy Diva decisively). Did it well and should have more to come, leading player.
3
Horse silk
Awayinthewest104
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-13| J: Paul Townend| T: P A Fahy| OR:  131| C
7/1
Useful dual-purpose performer, has consistent form over timber but doesn't win as often as desired (2-17, placed nine times). Second to Robin De Carlow at Limerick in October and may be behind re-opposing rival again.

Kingston Girl14
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-13| J: Ricky Doyle| T: L Comer| CD
33/1
All out to win 12-runner novice hurdle over C&D (good to soft) a fortnight ago. That represented a career-best and previously come up shy in graded company. Likely to find a few too strong.
5
Horse silk
Tintangle30
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-13| J: Jack Kennedy| T: G Elliott| OR:  130| C
3/1
Thurles maiden hurdle winner in November over 2m (good), holding off Sassy Diva. Nothing to dislike in finishing third behind Aramon in Grade 1 Future Champions at Leopardstown since, form that may be good enough to take this.
6
Horse silk
8/1
Front-running winner of a 2m maiden hurdle at Galway on yielding ground in October, had run of the race when close second in novice contest over C&D (good) on New Year's Day. Dangerous if given a soft advantage.
7
Horse silk
50/1
Scorpion filly, run well in pair of bumpers at Listowel and Galway in the autumn, lacks experience over timber however and may find a couple of these rivals are better equipped for today.

Forecasts

Honeysuckle (6/4), Tintangle (3/1), Robin De Carlow (7/2), Awayinthewest (7/1), Western Victory (8/1), Kingston Girl (33/1), Cotton End (50/1)

Verdict

HONEYSUCKLE and Tintangle come here with standout claims but, on collateral form through Sassy Diva, Henry De Bromhead's mare may be able to shade the verdict. She's on an upward curve and can maintain her unbeaten ways over timber. Gordon Elliott's mare will have learned plenty in the heat of Grade 1 battle last time and cannot be ruled out. Robin De Carlow didn't enjoy the testing ground at Cork last time but is more than likely to going to make a bold bid for a quick bounce back and looks best of the remainder ahead of her old rival Awayinthewest.
  1. Honeysuckle
  2. Tintangle
  3. Robin De Carlow
