Napoleons Casino & Restaurant Owlerton Sheffield Lightning Novices' Chase (Grade 2)

Off time: 13:30 | Winning time: 3m 57.40s

Dynamite Dollars³⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 11-5| J: Harry Cobden| T: P F Nicholls| OR: 155| D

1/4

Quickly established himself as one of the standout novices of the campaign winning three of his four chases with Sandown Grade One followed by Kempton Grade Two where he gave weight to the previous Arkle favourite. Should win this comfortably.

Form: 54-1211

Ravenhill Road^p1⁴⁴

Age: 8| Weight: 11-0| J: B S Hughes| T: B Ellison| OR: 130| C

14/1

Winner of his first four starts under rules, three bumpers and a maiden hurdle but seemingly had a few training issues along the way and winless in next four. Fare form in two chases, a second and a third but much more needed here.

Form: 1/13P-23

Shady Oaks⁵⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Charlie Hammond| T: C T Pogson| OR: 127

66/1

Maiden point-to-pointer and chaser had four starts under rules so far. Showed enough to win a race over fences this season but out of his depth here on all known form.

Form: 55-3473

Ballywood²⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 10-11| J: Wayne Hutchinson| T: A King| OR: 137| CD

4/1

French import has won both chases starts on these shores with battling Taunton success followed by slightly more comfortable C&D victory latest. Huge step up in class now but in receipt of weight from the rest he looks clear second best.

Form: 20-4411

Forecasts

Dynamite Dollars (1/4), Ballywood (4/1), Ravenhill Road (14/1), Shady Oaks (66/1)

DYNAMITE DOLLARS hasn't received the credit he deserves so far with more focus on the disappointments of Lalor and Kalashnikov in his last two wins but Paul Nicholls' novice deserves to be Arkle favourite on form so far over fences and even giving away weight here he is expected to win pretty comfortably in a far easier looking race. Ballywood looks a smart recruit for Alan King and should give the selection the most to think about. Ravenhill Road maybe doesn't quite possess the potential he once did but hopefully he can be winning chases soon enough.
