Wolverhampton winner produced a better effort at Newcastle last time in first-time blinkers. Has gone well here in the past but faces a stiff task at the weights.
€40,000 Havana Gold half-brother to two AW winners. Not highly tried on debut and the market can guide further.
The pick of these at the weights but he performed to a modest level on his last two starts. The latest may have been needed and his pedigree suggests he will have little difficulty handling the surface and longer trip.
Shaped well in claimers at Beverley and Redcar last year. Highly tried on last two starts and well-beaten on sole AW start. Back at her right level here with a hood added.
Makes little appeal on pedigree and last of 14 on debut when sent off at 100/1. Others look far more likely,
Not beaten as far last time but an official rating of 48 means he is meeting many of these on considerably worse terms than if this had been a handicap.
Would have rated the pick of these by far four months ago. Form has dipped since but significantly down in class and stable are red hot at present.
11-race maiden whose form has been deteriorating and who is not favoured by the weight terms in this contest.
Has done most of her racing on the AW in France where a third to Capla Gilda (rated 77 when trained here) rates her best effort. Fairly weighted on that evidence but needs to rebound from a poor run since.

Forecasts
Axel Jacklin (11/8), Grandstand (11/4), Elieden (8/1), Peters Pudding (8/1), Morro Castle (10/1), Pleasant Gesture (10/1), Sepahi (10/1), Arcadian Rocks (20/1), Bridlemere Court (25/1), Red's Comet (50/1)
It is hard to know what to expect from many in this as the likes of Grandstand, Pleasant Gesture and Sepahi have realistic claims on their best form but not on their most recent efforts. Axel Jacklin looks one of the more consistent performers but he faces a tougher task at the weights than would be the case in a handicap. Elieden has registered her two best performances in similar company on turf but was well held on her only AW start. As a result a chance is taken that ARCADIAN ROCKS steps up for his comeback run last week. His early juvenile form looks more than good enough. He is bred to improve for this trip and should handle the surface.
- Arcadian Rocks
- Axel Jacklin
- Grandstand
