20 race maiden ran well to finish a short-head second to Is Love Alive in a C&D contest on soft ground a month ago. Amateur jockey retains the ride and interesting to see if he can defy a 4lb rise in the weights.
Promising 28L fourth in a maiden hurdle over an extended 2m4f at Leicester (good) last month. Disappointed since and worth a check in the market for a good yard stepping up in trip on handicap and chase debut.
Maiden after eight starts ran a fair race when 30L fourth in a handicap hurdle over an extended 3m1f at Hereford (soft) last month. Tongue tie worn for the first time on debut over fences.
Point-to-point winner but a 20 race maiden under Rules. Decent 19L third over 2m5f at Fakenham (good) on stable debut earlier this month. Races off a 4lb lower mark here and useful amateur jockey retains the ride.
Promising 13L sixth in a novices' handicap hurdle over an extended 2m4f at Southwell (good) on handicap debut in October. Returning from a break and worth a check in the market on debut over fences.
Returned from a break with a 20L third in a 2m5f novices' handicap chase at Fakenham (good-to-soft) last time out. Dropped 5lb in the weights but likely more needed if he's to take this event.
Placed in a couple of point-to-points last spring but struggled since going under Rules and wears cheekpieces for the first time stepping up in distance on chase and handicap debut.
Dual point-to-point on good and good-to-soft ground. Pulled up on both handicap hurdle starts since returning to Rules racing and probably best watched on first start over fences.
Broke his point-to-point maiden when winning by 12L on good ground at Barbury Castle in December. Worth a check in the market on stable and chase debut with cheekpieces worn for the first time last time out retained.
Victorious over an extended 2m3f in a novices' handicap chase at Wetherby (soft) last month. Pulled up off this 7lb higher mark at Warwick (2m4f, good-to-soft) subsequently and stamina to prove stepping up in distance.
Had wind surgery prior to winning over C&D on good ground a fortnight ago. Raised 6lb for that victory and is one for the shortlist for a stable with a 23% strike-rate (3/13) in recent weeks.
Victorious by a short-head over Baron Du Plessis in a C&D handicap chase on soft ground last month. Blinkers worn for the first time that day retained since and needs to put a disappointing Bangor effort earlier this month behind him.
Eight race maiden was beaten 33L at Ffos Las (2m6f, soft) in a handicap hurdle earlier this month. Cheekpieces tried for the first time on chase debut.
Forecasts
Arthur's Reuben (7/2), Rabunda (4/1), Baron Du Plessis (11/2), Minmore Present (9/1), Oscar World (10/1), Is Love Alive (11/1), Itsamanslife (12/1), Vaxalco (14/1), Lady Master (16/1), Captains Run (20/1), Kilmoganny (25/1), Danseur Du Large (33/1), Presenting Rio (50/1)
Wind surgery appeared to bring about improvement in ARTHUR'S REUBEN and he can follow-up his victory over C&D here recently by defying a 6lb rise to take this 13 runner contest. The selection can get the better of Baron Du Plessis who was narrowly beaten here last time out while chase debutant Rabunda can claim third on his return to Rules.
- Arthur's Reuben
- Baron Du Plessis
- Rabunda
