Just had the one run so far at the end of last year finishing seventh (but subsequently disqualified); only running to a very modest level over C&D. Hard to see her being able to cope with some improving three-year-olds.

Three-year-old debutante by Charm Spirit out of a dam who was a juvenile 6f winner. From a yard can get them ready first-time out and worth a market check on debut over a trip that should suit.

Yard going well on the AW this season with their last six runners going 331231 although this one looks like she's being brought along gradually failing to improve from her debut last time. May well be of interest for handicaps once she has a mark.

Unraced as a juvenile (cost 45,000 guineas at Craven Breeze-ups) she was well backed to make a winning debut over 7f at Kempton earlier in the month. Blinkered for her debut (retained) she showed up positively; open to improvement.

Checked in as the stable second string on her debut and was made to look like it with a fairly unpromising display over an extended 1m at Wolverhampton. May be able to progress but hard to be confident about her chance.

Certainly improved from first to second run although there wasn't enough last time out to suggest that she could win a race of this nature. Not ideally placed last time when finishing midfield she looks as though she still has some learning to do.

One of just two debutantes in the field this Dawn Approach filly is a half-sister to several winners at trips such as this. Yard yet to have a winner this year (0-12) and this one is likely to need the experience.

$100,000 yearling by Declaration Of War who made quite a promising debut over 7f at Kempton getting better as the race progressed in a race of very mixed abilities (favourite beaten since). Had Dorchester just behind and should confirm form.

Looked inexperienced early on in her debut (very slow away) but ran on well to finish fifth as the penny began to drop on what was required. That form has yet to be really tested; likely to offer have more to offer with that experience.

Forecasts

Sundiata (2/1), Pacificadora (11/4), Dorchester (4/1), J'ouvert (7/1), Beehaar (10/1), April Wine (16/1), Duplicitous (16/1), Hanbury Dreams (33/1), Miaella (66/1)

Verdict

Hardly a strong event of its type with the standard set by PACIFICADORA who should be able to improve on her Kempton debut and confirm the placings with Dorchester who finished behind in fourth. Both newcomers April Wine and J’Ouvert are worth a check in the market and noting for any support. Sundiata shaped well enough on her debut to think she can win a similar event and should get into the fray with that experience under her belt.
  1. Pacificadora
  2. Sundiata
  3. Dorchester
