Dual Chepstow winner last season finished second in next four before that run of good form ended with a fall four out at the same venue last time. Versatile ground wise and finished in the first two in seven of his 10 chase races so should go well.
Dual bumper winner placed in three of five hurdle races and after a moderate start over fences he ran an improved race over this trip latest at Plumpton when fourth beaten 6L. More to come from this one and no surprise if he goes close today.
Good-ground C&D winner in May again ran well here penultimately when second in similar conditions. Never involved subsequently at Wetherby on good to soft and seems any cut in the ground blunts him so needs surface to dry out.
Fell early on in only previous start over fences at Hereford but showed no ill effects since with a fourth followed by his win at Ffos Las last time out. Arrives in good form here but obviously needs to prove himself back over fences.
Signs of promise in three maiden/novice hurdle starts but struggled on handicap debut in that sphere last time out. 2m trip possibly against her here on chase debut but few positives to take from that remote last of nine so others preferred.
Maiden of 14 starts but rewarded each-way backers latest when third here at 150/1. That's the only positive evidence to be found but a repeat should see him go well.
Forecasts
Briac (6/4), Beallandendall (9/4), King Vince (5/1), Scorpo (8/1), Quick Brew (8/1), Mrs Vonn (33/1)
BEALLANDENDALL had been a model of consistency until taking a heavy fall last time out. He has the best form on offer so providing that leaves no lasting effect he ought to take an awful lot of beating here. King Vince will win races over fences and his latest fourth at Plumpton represented quite a step forward so he could be ready to go close now. Quick Brew needs genuine good ground but with a dry forecast, conditions could suit and he will go well if that is the case.
