A mixed bag under rules since landing a Point-to-point last February and best effort was on heavy ground on penultimate start so others preferred on this better ground.

Ballyhome18
Age: 8|  Weight: 12-0| J: C Brace(7)| T: F O'Brien| OR:  116
11/4
Well backed when winning on stable debut at Wetherby in November and nothing wrong in two subsequent runs. This represents a drop in class and looks sure to play a part.

Almost Gold26
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-8| J: W T Kennedy| T: Ian Williams| OR:  110| BF
10/1
Tailed off when sent off favourite at Ascot on latest but almost certainly found out by the soft ground having won impressively on good at Doncaster before that. Back on a suitable surface now and one to take seriously.

Age: 6|  Weight: 11-8| J: Charlie Deutsch| T: S Thomas| OR:  103| D
7/4
Well backed on handicap debut at Bangor last week and looked a different proposition stepped up to this trip with an emphatic 10L win. Still 5lb well in despite his penalty and obvious claims so long as this doesn't come too soon.

Weakfield28
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-7| J: B S Hughes| T: B Ellison| OR:  109
8/1
Fetched £90,000 after a Point-to-point win October 2017. Has shown gradual improvement in a Bumper and two novice hurdles and better expected now going handicapping.

Loch Linnhep120
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-6| J: Ross Chapman| T: G Boanas| OR:  108WS
40/1
Back hurdling after a spell over fences. Has had a wind operation since modest debut for this yard and others preferred.
7
Horse silk
Let's Get At Itt22
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-4| J: G Sheehan| T: O Murphy| OR:  106| C
9/2
Improved in first time tongue tie when stepping up to 2m4f on handicap debut here last month. Up in trip again off 7lb higher mark and could be more to come.
8
Horse silk
33/1
A pair of creditable efforts when switched to this yard last term but well below par this season and easy to look elsewhere.

Forecasts

Iwilldoit (7/4), Ballyhome (11/4), Let's Get At It (9/2), Weakfield (8/1), Ballyart (9/1), Almost Gold (10/1), Pershing Missile (33/1), Loch Linnhe (40/1)

Verdict

With the return to a better surface in his favour ALMOST GOLD can bounce back to form having won impressively prior to that. Iwilldoit is sure to be popular after his runaway win at Bangor last week and can chase the selection home. Ballyhome is down in class and shouldn't be discounted with his regular claimer on board.
  1. Almost Gold
  2. Iwilldoit
  3. Ballyhome
