Black Sam Bellamy gelding who has hinted at potential, but appeared unsuited by this track when pulled up last time.

Easily won an Irish point-to-point on his 2nd start in that sphere and put up a reasonable effort here in a bumper. Respectable fourth on hurdling debut in a better race than this and has to go on the shortlist.
Has shown minor promise so far, but has scope to improve and his full-brother, Is Love Alive, was suited by this trip.

Bumper winner in 2016 but beaten more than 100L on both starts over hurdles since his return to action.

Proved to be the only one who could go with Coole Well here on his hurdling debut, but failed to back that up on Boxing Day. Should do better over this longer trip.

Stable second string has been poor on all starts to date and impossible to envisage him troubling the principals again.

Has only beaten one home in each of his bumpers. Bred to stay but still hard to fancy on current evidence.

Has some fair form in Irish point-to-points and suited to good ground. Looks an interesting newcomer in a race lacking depth, so worthy of a market check.

Forecasts

Manning Estate (13/8), Debestyman (7/4), Coastal Drift (6/1), Helford River (7/1), Reallyradical (12/1), Jot'em Down (20/1), Marocchino (66/1), Milton (100/1)

Verdict

DEBESTYMAN was fourth in an above-average race here 10 days ago and his Irish point-to-point form is marginally stronger than that of Reallyradical. Chris Gordon's charge makes his rules debut on ground that will suit and he should not be far away. Manning Estate ran below expectations last time, but he had gone well here on his penultimate start and this trip looks a more suitable test.
  1. Debestyman
  2. Manning Estate
  3. Reallyradical
