Fakenham winner in May over 2m4f on good ground. Not disgraced on comeback run on first attempt at 3m when conditions were much slower. Looks fairly treated despite topweight.
Had a good spell in November including a runner-up spot here. Not so good lately but the application here of a tongue-tie indicate there may have been excuses. Worth watching in the market.
Former 675,000 gns Ballydoyle inmate who has won once over hurdles and has been placed six times. Claims on penultimate start when trying to make all over 3m, but surprisingly ridden with more restraint over significantly shorter last time.
Winner of a point-to-point on the undulating Trecoed track and a Hexham bumper. Conditions were good then and she has looked unsuited by soft on subsequent starts. Caught the eye last time and this trip should suit.
Transformed by a visor to run away with two low grade handicaps on differing ground. Has a 14lb rise to defy here but still hard to rule out.
On a good mark but latest performances give no indication she can take advantage. Still has stamina to prove and a visor tried for the first time.
Landed two races in the summer, but he does seem a lot better in class 5 races these days and his latest starts following a break suggest he is below his best.
Has returned from a two year absence to finish down the field on two occasions. Better handicapped now in more comfortable grade, but hard to recommend until showing his problems are behind him.
Forecasts
Potters Hedger (5/2), Three Star General (3/1), Mauna Kea (5/1), Sackett (13/2), Ruby Yeats (7/1), Get An Oscar (8/1), Mogestic (16/1), Gallic Destiny (50/1)
THREE STAR GENERAL is not easy to win with but the handicapper has given him a chance here and, if overlooking his latest run over an inadequate trip, he has looked ready to win a race at this level. Mauna Kea is an obvious threat on his hat-trick bid, whilst Potters Hedger should go well despite his big burden. Get An Oscar will appreciate the trip and conditions, whilst Sackett would enter calculations if the market suggests his last couple of runs can be excused.
- Three Star General
- Mauna Kea
- Potters Hedger
