Well held in three bumper starts to date, finishing last of 14 at Limerick in November before a desolate effort on hurdling debut last month. Makes little appeal in this heat. .
Will have disappointed connections in five bumper defeats to date, but switch to hurdles sparked improvement to finish second of 17 beaten 1L at Limerick last month. One to be interested in.
Daughter of Court Cave out of a Presenting mare. Winner of a point-to-point start in December and market likely to reveal expectations on hurdling debut.

Maiden running off a mark of 104 and could be of interest based on her second of 14 beaten a little over 3L in a Limerick maiden hurdle in November and a couple of steady runs since.

Poor form in a couple of point-to-point starts last month before pulling up when tailed off on chasing debut at Limerick over Christmas. May need the run here.

Forecasts

Ifyoucatchmenow (7/4), Whatucallher (10/3), Roney (11/2), Lill Smith (6/1), Jeremys Dream (8/1), All The Way West (20/1), Laughing Trix (20/1), Darling Miss (20/1), Annie Clouds (33/1), Finding Joy (100/1), Peterstown (100/1), Duty Girl (100/1), Romella (100/1)

Verdict

With the Mullins yard under, somewhat, of a cloud currently it may pay to take a chance on the Paul Nolan-trained RONEY who has shown significant promise already including placing on three occasions since October. The five-year-old will face stiff opposition from Eddie Harty's, Whatucallher and the potential improver Jeremys Dream.
  1. Roney
  2. Whatucallher
  3. Jeremys Dream
