Both AW wins have come over this C&D including last time when making all and showing a good attitude late on. Up 4lb but still well weighted on old form and looks sure to go close again.
Won at Wolverhampton but has been disappointing in two starts since. Only 1lb higher now than that success but others preferred.
Back on last AW winning mark but just two wins overall from 25 starts on an artificial surface. Struggled on his last four starts and others more convincing.
Sole win came over this trip at Wolverhampton but also goes well here. Has returned from a break with three solid runs and remains on a competitive mark. Likely to be competitive again.
Veteran back on a decent mark but needs to improve on three runs back and plenty to find with Mercers from latest C&D run. Stable badly out of form and also run Pranceabootthetoon
Form regressed at the back end of 2017 and has presumably been hard to train with just one run since. Returns on a competitive mark but probably best watched.
Last year's winner off 3lb lower and notched up three more over the calendar year including again over this C&D two runs back. Ran to a similar level at Kempton last time and looks primed to go well.
Losing run stretches back to May 2017 despite falling to a very handy mark. Needs to improve on two runs back since wind surgery.
Veteran who is a five-time C&D winner but without a win since 2016. Ran solidly on return when third behind Mercers but more required to reverse the form.
Sole success came on debut and down to a basement mark with good cause. Stable on lengthy losing run and hard to make a case for on recent form.
Forecasts
Impart (3/1), Mercers (7/2), Zipedeedodah (6/1), Jorvik Prince (6/1), Entertaining Ben (8/1), Avon Green (10/1), Pharoh Jake (12/1), Little Miss Daisy (14/1), Temple Road (14/1), Pranceabootthetoon (33/1)
IMPART is drawn to attack, remains on a good mark and can be followed after showing fine battling qualities in his latest C&D success. Avon Green is also competitively weighted and in form while Mercers has every chance of following up on last year's success in this race.
- Impart
- Avon Green
- Mercers
