In-form in the summer/autumn with three wins in four starts on good/good to soft. The last of those came from 3lb lower. Beaten when unseating last time and has a tough task at these weights.
Won over 3m (soft) over hurdles at Southwell last February and scored over fences at Cartmel (3m1½f, good) in May from a mark of 133. Badly out of sorts on his last two starts, but looks one of the leading contenders at this level.
Won both a maiden and a claimer over hurdles on good/fast ground in 2017, but not seen since September of that year. Goes well when fresh (although yet to win), so not written off on his reappearance, but others make more appeal.
Pulled up in three of his four point-to-points and is impossible to fancy.
Has gone 30 races without success since taking a Roscommon handicap hurdle (2m, gd/yld) in July 2016. Has shown nothing in two starts for this trainer that would give him any hope of winning this.
Not devoid of ability on his debut over hurdles at Kempton last May (2m, good), but it has been a tale of woe since then. Others preferred.
Former Nicky Henderson inmate who went off at just 11-2 for a Grade 1 novice hurdle at Aintree in 2014. Has had his problems since then and was well beaten in a similar race here last time. New headgear being tried. Each-way possibilities.
Multiple hurdle winner on good/good to firm ground, all at around 2m. 2lb higher than his last success at Kempton in April. Below par in two recent runs, including a similar race over C&D last month, but has claims if bouncing back.

Jeannot De Nonant (5/4), American Tom (6/4), Oscar Hoof (3/1), Regulation (10/3), Kingston (15/2), Buble (12/1), Du Chatelier (40/1), Kilcaragh Boy (100/1), Man Of The North (100/1)
A tough race to call, with some decent performers on their day arriving out of sorts. The suggestion is AMERICAN TOM on his stable debut. Second in a decent Thurles handicap over fences 12-months ago, he could go well having had a change of scenery and representing a stable that does well with others' cast-offs. Jeannot De Nonant has to be feared, along with Regulation, while Oscar Hoof is not written off.
