Imada33
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-8| J: B S Hughes| T: N G Richards| OR:  115| CD
13/8
Lost his unblemished record at this track (112) when beaten 3L by Our Lucas in a 2m Class 4 handicap hurdle in March (soft); switches to fences for the first time with the benefit of a hurdles pipe-opener banked; stable in-form; chance.

Divine Port23
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-4| J: Henry Brooke| T: Miss P Robson| OR:  111| D
4/1
Picked up for £16,000 in May 2018 (has had time off the track in the past); game when making a winning chasing debut at Carlisle (2m, soft) last month - odds-on favourite flopped; respected despite facing a stiffer task.
3

Ca Le Ferra17
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-3| J: Steven Fox(5)| T: J Ewart| OR:  110
16/1
Half-brother to the talented Sa Suffit; out of his depth on chasing debut at Newcastle (2m, soft) 17 days ago, and beaten when hampered and unseated rider three out.

Lovely Schtuff30
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-0| J: Callum Bewley| T: Mrs J Stephen| OR:  107
28/1
1-6 in PTP's, yet remains a maiden under rules (0-6); likely to prove suited by chasing (in lesser handicaps) given more time; tailed-off on rules fencing bow at Kelso last month (50/1).
5

Fiddlers Bow103
Age: 10|  Weight: 10-11| J: Ross Chapman(3)| T: Julia Brooke| OR:  104WS
11/4
Lost a hind shoe when yet again making the frame at Perth in September (2m4f, good); off since and has undergone wind surgery; still early days for Julia Brooke, but his overall rules record (1-34) is off-putting.
6

Lost Frequency19
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-10| J: D R Fox| T: Miss Lucinda V Russell| OR:  103
14/1
Stablemate of Prince Dundee, and a winning pointer (bought for £35,000 in May 2016); low-key over hurdles, but surely the prospect of better to come over fences; interesting to see how he fares.
7
Horse silk
12/1
Stablemate of Lost Frequency and seemingly the second string; half-brother to the 2m-2m4f chase winner Ben Dundee; hasn't achieved much of any note over hurdles, but possibility of improvement now switched to fences (debut).

Forecasts

Imada (13/8), Fiddlers Bow (11/4), Divine Port (4/1), Prince Dundee (12/1), Lost Frequency (14/1), Ca Le Ferra (16/1), Lovely Schtuff (28/1)

Verdict

Not a race for displaying a strong opinion with the suspicion that Divine Port was flattered by his chasing debut win at Carlisle (the odds-on favourite Xpo Universel flopped). Imada is also late to chasing but should strip fitter for a hurdles spin at Market Rasen, and he has a pleasing overall record at this track (1,1,2). However, a value-based dart is aimed towards the rules chasing newcomer LOST FREQUENCY. He cost £35,000 out of the PTP scene (May 2016), and despite showing very little in the way of worthwhile form over hurdles, there must be the distinct possibility that further improvement will be forthcoming over fences.
  1. Lost Frequency
  2. Imada
  3. Divine Port
