Placed in five of her 10 races under rules, but remains a maiden. Stays 3m, acts on good to soft and ran another respectable race at Fakenham last month, but from just 1lb lower she is likely to find something to beat her again.

Has improved with each of her three runs over hurdles (2m4f-2m5f). Not beaten far on soft at Ludlow last time. Up 4lb for that, but still going the right way. Tries 3m for first time here, but shapes as though she will stay. Claims.

Dual winner at 2m4½f-2m5f, including on soft, and it is those sort of trips over which she has performed best. Not yet as good over this far, but should still be capable of being competitive from this mark.

Respectable effort in a Uttoxeter maiden hurdle (2m, good) in November. Has had some jumping issues. Looks to be on a stiff mark on what she has achieved. May do better in time over this longer trip, but watching brief recommended here.

Completed good ground hat-trick over staying trips in 2016. Now 14lb lower than last of those, having been on a losing run of nine since. 3lb lower than when 8½L third at Doncaster last time. Not ruled out of the frame, but slower ground a concern.

Won a fast ground maiden hurdle (1m7½f) at Towcester when with Kim Bailey in 2017. Unable to get competitive in all but on start for this trainer and recent return from a 14-month layoff failed to inspire.

Broke her duck at the ninth attempt in a Chepstow novices' handicap hurdle (2m3½f, heavy) in April, when 8lb lower. Matched that effort from this mark on her reappearance at Warwick last month. Could kick on again now upped to 3m. Interesting.

Forecasts

Carrolls Milan (9/4), Midnight Glory (5/2), Drewmain Legend (3/1), Little Millie (6/1), Very Extravagant (10/1), Shaluna (33/1), Quasha (40/1)

Verdict

With doubts about most of the field, this looks a good opportunity for CARROLLS MILAN to get her nose in front. Fergal O'Brien;s six-year-old is the one runner in the field on a clear upward curve and this longer trip can play to her strengths, now that she tries it. Drewmain Legend could also do better now trying 3m and could be a danger. Little Millie has frame claims again.
