Regressive on the Flat prior to going off at 250/1 for hurdling debut when tailed off. Hard to recommend.
Fair effort when fifth at Chepstow (2m, good-to-soft) on hurdling debut in November 2016. Well held at Hereford on only subsequent outing and reappears with yard in top form.
€15,000 half-brother to a couple of winning hurdlers. Modest form in a handful of point-to-points but he may do better now tackling a shorter trip.
Landed three races at Dundalk before arriving on these shores with a mark in the 90s. Makes hurdling debut for an in form yard following 37,000 gns purchase in October.
Was a 15L length winner of a Fontwell bumper (good) on debut in June, when his chief market rival failed to fire. Not disgraced under a penalty and an interesting newcomer although yard just 2-31 with hurdlers since December.
Modest bumper form and he was an early casualty here on hurdling debut when looking somewhat erratic prior to departure.
Placed in a couple of point-to-points but has shown little in two bumpers and this looks a competitive event for his hurdling debut.
Off the track since pulling up on hurdling debut over a year ago. Likely to need the run and has a lot to prove.
Has looked a rather luckless sort so far just being touched off on his Fakenham bumper debut (jinked just before line). Then departed just after getting into the race at Aintree before finding 2m too short last time.
Brother to dual winner Awake At Midnight. Represents a leading yard and worth a market check in a decent looking race.
Has shown some promise in bumpers and on her hurdling debut. Promises more at this trip but may be more of a force when handicapping.
Forecasts
Smackwater Jack (1/1), Little Jack (15/8), Financial Conduct (13/2), Towards The Dawn (10/1), Cold As Ice (14/1), Dry Lightening (40/1), Diamond Rose (50/1), Mr Palmtree (50/1), Mix Of Clover (66/1), Rizzardo (100/1), Bob Maxwell (100/1)
SMACKWATER JACK has the best of the hurdling form judged on his unfortunate seasonal bow and the return to this trip will see him improve on his latest effort. Financial Conduct was a useful Flat performer and makes his hurdling debut over what looks the right sort of trip and with the yard's horses going well. Little Jack is a bumper winner representing a top yard and could go close if handling the slower conditions.
