Gelded son of Midnight Legend who shaped with minor promise on debut in bumper in November then slipped up when fading at Fontwell on Boxing Day. Needs a step forward to figure.
Declaration of War filly who looked modest when unplaced in four start on Flat for Marcus Tregoning at up to 9f. Hurdles debut for new yard but makes little appeal unless market offers some hope.
Last of 14 on Flat when trained for one start by Rae Guest. Fell 1st on jumps debut for new yard and well beaten back on the Flat at Wolverhampton last time. Very hard to enthuse over.
16-race Flat maiden at up to 1m4f. Modest fourth on hurdles bow at Bangor in November and beaten a long way last time at Taunton. May be capable of a little better but needs to get his act together.
No show on debut at Huntingdon in November but did better when keeping on into 4th at Fontwell last time. MIght be getting the hang of thngs so has prospects in a weak affair.
Trans Island gelding who has shown a modicum of ability in two bumpers so far. Stable companion of Little Rich and looks pick of pair on jockey bookings on hurdles bow.
Yard in cracking form (4-9 of late). Narrowly beaten in 1m4f heavy ground Flat handicap in September and showed promise over hurdles when runner-up on debut at Fontwell last week. Looks the pick on form.
Multiplex filly who was green as grass on racecourse bow but did a little better finishing fourth of 6 in heavy ground mares novice hurdle at Lingfield last time. More needed but improvement not ruled out.
Did well on Flat last season winning four handicaps at around a mile and makes jumps debut for new yard here. Every chance if she sees out the trip and market should reflect how much confidence connections have in her.
Forecasts
Poucor (2/1), Plansina (4/1), Good Impression (5/1), Little Rich (13/2), Astra Via (7/1), Boston T Party (14/1), Noble Saffron (14/1), Born At Midnight (16/1), Carnage (50/1)
POUCOR, with previous hurdles experience to drawn on is narrowly preferred to Plansina. He showed promise in this sphere when runner-up on his first start over timber and his yard could hardly be in better form. If Plansina stays she could well prove a big danger having enjoyed a fine 2018 campaign on the Flat. The Bridgwater pair of Little Rich and Noble Saffron both have potential improvement and the market should indicate which is the better fancied of the pair.
- Poucor
- Plansina
- Noble Saffron
