18-race maiden who was placed six times before coming to Britain. 50-1 and well held on stable debut at Wetherby (2m4½f). Drops 5lb, and has a bit to prove, not least over this far.

Has run well to be third on his last two starts, including when 2½L third at Musselburgh (3m) in November, when 1lb higher. More needed, but has frame claims.

Goes well here, as he underlined when scoring last time over C&D (heavy) in a novice hurdle. Up 7lb for that career-best effort, but entitled to enter calculations.

Not out of the first two since joining this trainer, improving with each run and won by a wide margin at Huntingdon (3m1f, soft) last time. Escapes penalty for that and should be tough to beat.

Won a heavy ground bumper here on debut 14-months ago. Solid form over hurdles since, without winning. Below par latest, but headgear and longer trip offer possibilities for improvement. Could go well.

Showed some promise in maiden/novice events last season. Well beaten on handicap debut here (2m5½f) in November, when he might have needed the run. Not ruled out from this mark now upped in trip.

Scored from this mark at Carlisle (2m1f, heavy) last February. Back in better form again at that venue last time, but yet to show his best over this far.

Has won twice over fences here, both when 6lb higher. Well held at Wetherby after 20-months off last time. Should benefit for that run and a market check looks prudent.

Scored here over fences on soft (2m4½f) in 2017, when 28lb higher. Out of sorts in three of four runs for Tim Vaughan last year, but best effort would still entitle him to respect here, if change of scenery can rejuvenate him.
