Placed in a couple of bumpers but well held on hurdling debut before failing to finish a couple of maiden starts. Others preferred.

Second of seven in a point-to-point contest in May and market likely to be the best guide to chances on rules debut.

Dropped towards rear three out and eased on hurdling debut at Naas in November. First-time tongue-tie fitted, may have a positive effect.

12-months between final point-to-point start and a bumper win at Cork in April. Fifth of 24 on hurdling debut last month, beaten 52L. Looks a tall order on recent form.

Gelding by Mustameet out of a Lavirco mare. Will possibly benefit from the experience here.

10/11
Won a Bumper in May over this distance and has made the frame in both hurdle runs at that trip. Runner-up once again at Navan over 2m last month but a leading player here.
7
Horse silk
100/1
Third in a Point-to-point but no show in a couple of dour display over hurdles last month on return to action. Vast improvement needed to figure.

Horse silk
Shanroe Al C34
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: Robbie Colgan| T: K Thornton
100/1
Useful in the point-to-point ranks but has little to show for a couple of gloomy efforts over hurdles in November. Tough ask and others preferred.

Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: E O'Connell(5)| T: S Crawley
25/1
Modest in a number of point-to-point starts in the early part of last year and well beaten in a Gowran Park maiden hurdle on debut in November. Very little to be positive about.
10
Horse silk
10/1
Winner of his most recent point-to-point starts in November. Tongue-tie fitted on rules debut and worthy of a market check.

Failed to finish a couple of point-to-point starts over the last couple of months and comes here with first-time hood fitted. Best watched on debut.

Disappointing favourite at Limerick over 2m on heavy ground in March in a bumper on debut, before a promising second of 16 beaten 7½L in a Fairyhouse maiden hurdle last month. Open to plenty of improvement.

Take A Turn110
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-9| J: L P Dempsey| T: G Elliott| BF
25/1
Useful 69-rated handicapper on the Flat for trainer David Lanigan. Could be of interest on debut for leading yard.
14
Horse silk
8/1
Turned over at cramped odds in bumpers at Ballinrobe and Fairyhouse before disappointing at Naas in November. Finally got off the mark in a weak looking contest at Thurles. Likely to be well prepped on hurdling debut.
Gamut filly out of a Beau Sher mare. Nothing of note in a number of dismal efforts in maiden hurdle contests recently. Likely to find it tough going here.

Forecasts

Momus (10/11), Swordsman (3/1), Westport Lady (8/1), Impatient Partner (8/1), The Echo Boy (10/1), Tara Mill (25/1), Take A Turn (25/1), Goodkess (33/1), Another Cyclone (33/1), Harbrio (66/1), Galboystown Rose (100/1), Robbies Magic (100/1), Mr Marcus (100/1), Major Jim (100/1), Shanroe Al C (100/1)

Verdict

Trainer Noel Meade appears to have found an ideal opportunity for the Touch Of Land gelding, MOMUS to getoff the mark over hurdles at the fourth time of asking. The six-year-old who has been hitting the bar of late can get the better of the Gordon Elliott-trained Swordsman and last time out winner, Westport Lady.
