£90,000 as a three-year-old but has been finished tailed off in three bumpers to date including after a breathing operation prior to latest, and will have to find dramatic improvement now switched to hurdles.
Won sole start on the Flat in France in October 2017 and was all set to make a winning start over hurdles when stumbling and unseating rider at the last at Wetherby recently. On that evidence looks a smart recruit to this game.
Showed a little ability in novice hurdles and bumpers in the North last season. Sold for £18,000 in May and more needed on debut for new yard.
Failed to complete in a pair of hurdles over 2m4f since coming from France and now tried in hood. Hard to fancy.
Won a Point-to-point in May but has shown little in two starts since switched to hurdles and not hard to look elsewhere.
Stepped up on previous attempts when beaten a neck by better fancied stable companion at Leicester last month. That winner is a decent sort and looks sure to play a leading role for in-form yard.
65 rated maiden on the Flat, though disqualified having passed the post first at Newbury in October. No immediate promise on debut in this sphere at Taunton recently and needs to improve a lot in a short space of time.
One-time smart handicapper at up to 1m6f on the Flat and has shown definite promise in both starts over hurdles (not knocked about in strong race at Ascot last time). This represents a drop in grade and merits serious consideration.
Dual winner on the Flat at up to 1m7f on soft when trained in France. Showed some ability on hurdling debut last month but probably one for handicaps further down the line.
Forecasts
Extra Mag (11/10), Precious Bounty (7/2), Rock Steady (4/1), Press Gang (10/1), Sermando (14/1), Indian Harbour (20/1), Mine's A Pint (25/1), Khairagash (25/1), Carrick Roads (66/1)
EXTRA MAG looked in control until his last flight mishap at Wetherby and can gain deserved compensation. In a race with little depth to it Rock Steady and Precious Bounty have both shown plenty of promise and look the chief threats.
- Extra Mag
- Rock Steady
- Precious Bounty
