Gained another clear cut success her 2nd in her last three outings last time out typically travelling strongly. This will be just her 2nd run for her current stable; chances are that she will continue to run over this sort of trip; up 9lb here.
Has come back from a break in good heart winning back-to-back handicaps with the 2nd one coming over C&D off a 7lb lower mark than she was beaten last time (still ran with credit). Edged up the handicap after her last run; handicapper now in control.
Fair handicapper who has been mixing chasing and hurdling of late; has turned in two modest efforts since undergoing wind surgery. Made the running last time but dropped away quickly; best watched despite the falling mark.
Has flattered only to deceive on a few occasions of late and certainly didn't fancy passing the leaders last time (had every opportunity to do so). The handicapper providing no help either pushing him up for the weights for his recent placed starts.
Found some further progress to score consecutive victories off the same mark of late on contrasting going. Now has to defy a 5lb rise in the weights but travels well and should remain competitive at this level.
Yet to win a race under Rules despite having some fair bumper form and catching the eye on his 2nd run over hurdles. Returned from wind surgery for his handicap debut but ran too free to do himself justice and now dropped 5lb.
Handicap/stable debutante who was bought for current connections in July (£2,800). Failed to show much progress in three novice hurdles and likely to need a stronger test of stamina that this 2m3f to show anything further.
Given a rapid switch to handicaps having gained a mark after two starts with the last time out effort being much the best (finished 3rd) in a slowly-run affair over 2m4f. Could well have been handed a decent mark; betting will provide valuable clues.
Took consecutive Worcester handicap hurdles in the summer when with Julia Brooke; the 2nd off a 6lb lower mark. Failed to fire since then and has run two poor races for this yard of late and hard to make a case for him on recent evidence.
Has always had the look of one that could score in handicap company but has been dealt a fairly stiff mark on his first two handicap starts. The ground may well have been too testing last time; dropped a further 6lb could yet make an impression.
Travelled strongly in a first-time tongue-tie to open his account at Fontwell off a 7lb lower mark confirming some earlier promise. Not quite in the same form last time (didn't travel as well) and needs to return to his earlier form.
Split two last time out winners at Exeter when previously seen on his first run back from a wind op; went like a well handicapped one although still displayed the odd quirk. Should be able to cope with a 3lb rise; one to be interested in.
Previously trained in Ireland he makes his debut for a yard that has a terrific record with new recruits having won a Thurles novice last time over 2m. Has produced one previous sound effort in handicaps and can't be ruled out here.
His recent form over fences has outstripped that of his hurdles exploits although he lost his unbeaten chasing run last time out. Not seen since the he returns from a break going back over hurdles off a much lower mark; now with a new yard.
Proved a consistent sort over the summer ending a run of places with a win on quick ground over 2m2f at Stratford off a 1lb lower mark. Not in the same form since then (including one run on the Flat); hard to consider on the recent evidence.
Back from wind surgery with cheekpieces on for the first-time having made her handicap debut recently (wore tongue-tie). Fared a little better than the bare result last time but faces some improving types here; market support needed to be considered.
Remains a maiden in all spheres despite showing some fair form on the Flat. Little form over hurdles though and finished well held after a break last time and others are preferred.
Forecasts
Jimmy Rabbitte (5/4), Queen Of The Wind (5/1), Martabot (8/1), Misty Bloom (9/1), Field Exhibition (11/1), Mere Anarchy (12/1), Wasdell (12/1), Silver Sea (14/1), Primal Focus (20/1), Hurlstone Point (20/1), Floresco (25/1), Magic River (25/1), Cafe Au Lait (33/1), Iniesta (33/1), Sammylou (40/1), Kristjano (50/1), Ruaraidh Hugh (66/1)
A strong heat for the grade with several with solid form already accompanied by a few who could well do better than they have shown so far. Field Exhibition scored easily last time out and a 9lb rise may not be enough to stop her from going close again. Queen Of The Wind is another who has been running well and goes in search of a hat-trick here with Martabot looking capable of winning something like this despite looking a rather quirky sort. JIMMY RABBITTE has winning form that has recently been given a boost and given Dr Richard Newland’s record with stable/handicap debutantes he’s given the vote. Wasdell and Primal Focus should be watched in the market for a positive move.
- Jimmy Rabbitte
- Queen Of The Wind
