Sixth of nine beaten 26L in the Grade 1 Hattons Grace hurdle at Fairyhouse last month. Winner of the Triumph hurdle at the festival in March and looks a leading contender with a big drop in class.
Appeared to have juvenile class at his mercy when recording four quick successes last winter, including impressive dismissal of subsequent Triumph Hurdle winner Farclas at Leopardstown 12-months ago. Grade 3 winner at Naas last month. Big player.
Well held in a couple of Grade 1 contests in the spring and struggled in a Grade 3 hurdle before moving to current yard. Third of 21 earlier this month in a Fairyhouse handicap and vast improvement needed.
One from nine over hurdles and was last of 16 beaten 78L earlier this month in a Cork handicap hurdle over 2m. Looks out of his depth here.
Easily put 7L between herself and stablemate Good Thyne Tara at Killarney in May, then ran well in French Grade 3 in June. Impressive once again when last seen in November and rates a big danger.
Forecasts
Stormy Ireland (4/6), Espoir D'allen (7/2), Saglawy (11/2), Farclas (6/1), Masterstonemason (100/1)
Grade 1 Triumph hurdle winner at the festival in March, FARCLAS should find this step down to Grade 3 level within his compass range with the Gordon Elliott-trained four-year-old able to see off the competition from Stormy Island and the talented Espoir D'Allen in an exciting looking contest.
- Farclas
- Stormy Ireland
- Espoir D'Allen
