Going close lately and got the job done in good style at Southwell on Friday, looks to hold strong claims again despite the penalty for that success.
Has gone close on multiple occasions this year, though hard to say the wind surgery has been a plus factor. Dropping in grade now.
Has gone up 3lb for C&D success 11 days ago, his fifth win of the calendar year. Down in grade for this and likely to be competitive.
Has made the frame in his last two starts over this trip at Kempton but will have to find a bit extra from somewhere to better that now.
Frontrunner, would be dangerous if afforded a soft advantage but most of recent efforts a bit below what is needed and should find a few too strong.
Recent form figures are not inspiring and will need to take a big step back towards the form that helped gain four wins last winter. On a more than decent mark if he does.
All wins so far over the minimum trip, appeared to handle 6f last time in a first-time visor (retained) but must prove stamina for this mission.
Three-time winner back in the summer, including a brace of C&D wins. May have needed the recent return to action for fitness but career-best called for from current rating.
11 runs and no wins so far, comes here having undergone a wind operation but will have to really see some significant benefit from that to be involved.
Former C&D winner, scored here last month over 5f but since disappointed over 6f having gone up 4lb. Should find a couple too strong on form.
Made a winning start in handicaps at Lingfield in January over this trip but has faltered in four starst since on turf and AW. Bit to prove but lightly-raced.
Forecasts
Robero (3/1), Critical Thinking (3/1), Dark Alliance (11/2), Espresso Freddo (8/1), Zoraya (10/1), Our Man In Havana (12/1), Fiery Breath (14/1), Pearl Spectre (14/1), Stoneyford Lane (22/1), De Little Engine (28/1), Jupiter (50/1)
ROBERO comes here off the back of a fine win at Southwell on Friday and will be hard to peg back despite his penalty if he's in a similar mood now. Critical Thinking has done his share of 2018 winning and the recent C&D winner has claims once more while De Little Engine could should bet fitter for his recent reappearance and can go well. Espresso Freddo and Dark Alliance have decent place claims.
- Robero
- Critical Thinking
- De Little Engine
