Ran pleasing race on handicap debut at Lingfield when close fourth under this rider. Was returning from a layoff and entitled to be fitter now, runs from the same mark and is unexposed.
In good heart, winning twice in previous five runs including over a furlong shorter earlier in the month on previous start. Up 4lb and should go well over new trip. Closely matched with Champagne Rules on previous run here.
Handicapped to have every chance but recent form is a cause for concern. Will need to bounce back against rivals with solid claims.
Made the running and looked to have things covered here 16 days ago over a furlong shorter, only to hang and be mugged by Mossy's Lodge. Run well since at Southwell and not discounted back here.
Back-to-back wins here and at Lingfield in March over shorter trips. Form for new yard less pleasing but comes here having undergone a wind operation and may bounce back.
Was flying home over C&D earlier in the month when and had to settle for second. That was just his third start for new trainer and one to pay close attention to now.
Irish maiden after seven runs, joined new yard and not on the toughest mark if finding some improvement for the change of scenery.
Not the easiest ride it seems and find winning hard, with record now 1-18. On a fair mark if bouncing back from two tame efforts since Bath in October.
Runner-up here in May over a furlong short off a mark of 49, run just twice since and not matched that form. Bit to prove now.
Seems to have lost the ability of old, running a succession of poor races since and is nigh-on impossible to fancy on this winter's form.
Forecasts
Creative Talent (7/4), Champagne Rules (4/1), Mossy's Lodge (11/2), Diamond Reflection (7/1), Mundersfield (7/1), Kodi Koh (16/1), Stosur (16/1), Splash Of Verve (20/1), Ramblow (28/1), Outlaw Torn (33/1)
MUNDERSFIELD made a solid enough start in handicaps recently at Lingfield under this rider and should be fitter and wiser now. From an unchanged mark, the David Simcock-trained runner appeals as a potential improver and should go well here. Mossy's Lodge is in cracking tune at the moment and is closely matched with Champagne Rules on recent form here – the latter may turn the placings around – but recent C&D second Creative Talent might well prove the biggest threat to the selection.
- Mundersfield
- Creative Talent
- Champagne Rules
