First outing since wind surgery when scoring in clear-cut fashion over C&D last month. Stiffer task under a penalty in a better race, but top stable's bumper performers are always to be feared at this track.
Shantou gelding who cost €40,000 as a three-year-old and is from a successful jumping family. Beat three rivals in convincing style on debut over C&D and is one to note under his penalty.
Kier Park gelding whose dam was unplaced on the Flat. Tailed off on debut at Exeter and cannot be fancied on that display.
Son of Gold Well who fetched £80,000 last year and is a half-brother to the top-class Cue Card. Catches the eye on debut and it will be interesting to see how he is rated in the betting alongside stable companion Flic Ou Voyou.

Son of Jeremy who cost €16,000 last year and is a half-brother to fair chaser House Rules. Too keen when well held on debut over C&D and needs to settle better.

Cost €17.000 as a foal and is by Getaway out of an unraced sister to three winners over hurdles and fences, one of which also won a bumper. Pleasing fourth of 11 on debut at Ascot and looks sure to improve.

Getaway gelding who fetched €26,000 as a four-year-old and is related to useful hurdler/chaser Baily Rock. Stable can ready a newcomer so he is worth a check in the betting.
Kalanisi gelding who was bought for €40,000 last year and is a brother to a winning hurdler. Represents a top stable which does well in these contests so has to be given serious consideration after undergoing a wind operation.
Mahler filly who has shown ability to finish third in a couple of point-to-points. Stable/bumper debut and is one to keep an eye on in the betting market.
Arvico filly who is a half-sister to a couple of winners on the Flat. Leading stable going particularly well so she would be interesting if the market speaks in her favour.

Flic Ou Voyou (2/1), Hugos Other Horse (7/2), Now Look At Me (6/1), Sleight Of Hand (6/1), Only Money (8/1), Salmon Run (17/2), Umberleigh (14/1), Crossgalesfamegame (16/1), Jeremiah James (20/1), Big Bamboo (33/1), Shutscombe Hill (66/1)

Verdict

Flic Ou Voyou and Now Look At Me are the two previous winners in this race and are respected under their penalties, but there are some likely newcomers taking part, headed by Umberleigh, Sleight Of Hand and HUGOS OTHER HORSE. The latter is an expensive half-brother to the top-class Cue Card and may be good enough to make a winning debut for a stable which has a fine record in bumpers at this venue. Only Money shaped well on debut at Ascot and may be in the shake-up.
