Goes unpenalised for a pleasing win at Newbury in a conditional riders' event last week under today's jockey. Yard remains in good form so has to be respected as he bids to follow up.

Fair Loch18
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-12| J: Nathan Moscrop(5)| T: B Ellison| OR:  120| CD

Landed this event 12 months ago off a 2lb higher mark and may well have been prepared for a repeat bid. Caught the eye staying on steadily at Wetherby last time and looks a major player.
3
Horse silk
Burrenbridge Hotel25
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-11| J: Mr Jason Dixon(7)| T: Henry Oliver| OR:  119

Looks to be coming to hand and stayed on well when third at Bangor last time out. Has won in 2018 but still remains 8lb higher than last winning mark.

One-time smart chaser but very much into the veteran stage now and has been struggling despite plumetting in the weights ove rlast 12 months. Undeniably well handicapped on old form but appears on the downgrade on recent evidence.
5

Cesar Collonges33
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-9| J: Adam Wedge| T: Evan Williams| OR:  117| D

Unexposed gelding having just his second start over fences. Ran well for a long way on chasing bow at Chepstow before tiring on seasonal bow so drop in trip should help. Yard ticking along nicely and wouldn't surprise to see market support.
6
Horse silk
Amber Gamblerp162
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-6| J: T J O'Brien| T: Ian Williams| OR:  114| C

First-time cheekpieces applied after lack-lustre reappearance run at Carlisle. Drops in trip and is 1-2 at the track. 2lb higher than win in valuable event at Haydock in March and should appreciate the easy ground.

Unzing646
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-4| J: Charlie Hammond(5)| T: C T Pogson| OR:  112| CD
16/1
Won this race two years ago off 2lb lower mark but may well be better for the run having not been seen in action since March. Others make more appeal on this occasion.
8
Horse silk
Omega Springs28
Age: 10|  Weight: 10-11| J: Shane Quinlan(7)| T: D L Williams| OR:  105
33/1
Ex-Irish gelding who is just 2-36 to date but did score at Uttoxeter this autumn. Hasn't shone in two subsequent outings but has slipped back to a feasible mark so a decent display is not ruled out.

Forecasts

Sir Egbert (8/13), Cesar Collonges (7/1), Amber Gambler (7/1), Burrenbridge Hotel (15/2), Savello (12/1), Fair Loch (12/1), Unzing (16/1), Omega Springs (33/1)

Verdict

Sir Egbert is likely to be all the rage following his recent win at Newbury for which he goes unpenalised, but last year's winner FAIR LOCH looks as though he could be the answer once again having shaped like a horse who has had a repeat bid in mind at Wetherby last time. There are plenty of others with chances, indeed it's hard to rule anything out, but Cesar Collonges is a potential improver while Burrenbridge Hotel and Amber Gambler are others very much in the mix.
  1. Fair Loch
  2. Sir Egbert
  3. Cesar Collonges
