Day Of Roses looked a progressive sort with plenty to offer when last seen 18 months ago, but he is likely to need this run with conditions likely to be testing. Lizzie Langton showed the benefit of a wind operation last time but the handicapper may have overreacted to the performance given the mediocrity of the opposition. Her rider's claim helps but WATER WAGTAIL usually comes to hand early in his campaign and this looks easier than the race he won off this mark at Warwick last season.
