Gelding by Brian Boru out of a Jurado mare. Well backed when finishing down the field on debut here last month. Plenty to prove at present.
Nothing of note in three career starts to date and first time hood unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.
Well held in a couple of point-to-point starts when completing since October. Will find one or two more competitive in this contest.
Running well prior to falling in a point-to-point won by Andy Dufresne at Borris House last month before tailing off on bumper debut at Fairyhouse when last seen in April. Worth a market check.
Presenting gelding, cost €48,000 as a foal and €75,000 as a yearling. Expected to improve when finishing fourth of 16 on promising debut at the Punchestown festival in April. Major player with leading jockey booked.
Not disgraced on bumper debut when last seen in October, finishing sixth of nine at Punchestown. Looks a long-term prospect.
Modest form in a couple of point-to-point starts in the spring. Cost connections €42,000 and worth a market check on debut.
Failed to complete twice in three starts over obstacles but has shown plenty of promise in both starts to date on the level. Needs more in this company.
Well beaten in five starts under rules, three of them in bumpers and would need a leap of faith to see that trend reversed now.
Promising 9L fifth in a good ground Listowel bumper over 2m on debut in September before disappointing at Limerick last month. Hard to place any faith in.
Forecasts
Grand Mogul (11/8), Conflated (3/1), Road Warrior (4/1), Barntown (10/1), Young Dev (12/1), Longfordwood Lad (16/1), Miss Tulpar (25/1), Farnogue (28/1), Chapati (50/1), Mama Tried (80/1)
It would perhaps take something special to stop GRAND MOGUL getting off the mark here for Gordon Elliott and Jamie Codd, with the Presenting gelding expected to improve from a positive debut at Punchestown in April. The Gigginstown House Stud pair, Road Warrior and Conflated will look to hit the frame in the closer.
- Grand Mogul
- Road Warrior
- Conflated
