Showed a lot more to win on his 2nd hurdles start despite only scrambling home in the end with the form getting a boost with the subsequent win of the runner-up. Looks as though he'll stay much further and this C&D could be a little sharp for him.

Didn't have a hard race on his only bumper start (backed at long odds) and improved on that outing to make a successful bumper start last time out. That didn't look a particularly strong race though (form not franked) and work to do under a penalty.

Well behind Massini Man at Hereford on his debut and despite the considerate introduction will need some time and experience yet. Never involved there he looks a likely type for handicaps when he gains a mark.

Took until his third starts (2nd over hurdles) to show any ability when finishing midfield but still well held in a Kelso novice. Took a strong hold there and needs to settle better and hurdle a little more fluently to make an impact.

Showed some useful form over hurdles in France and won his only start over fences at around this trip. Showed very little on his stable/GB debut at Ffos Las although that would have been the worst ground he had encountered; stable going better now.

Tried in various headgear combinations since going hurdling and looked to take a step forward on his 2nd start over obstacles despite still looking rough round the edges. Ran badly at Bangor back from a break although he did gain a handicap mark.

Goes hurdling after three bumper runs in a first-time hood with only the middle of that trio of runs showing that he had any ability. Form is only modest therefore and it would be surprising if he got involved here.
Showed ability in bumpers before given a break and going hurdling (held back by inexperience on his debut); well found in the market on that occasion. Improved last time (jumped better) but was beaten 10L into 2nd in the end; progress likely.

A temperamental sort in bumpers that trait was still much in evidence on her hurdling debut; looked awkward and hung badly. Did a little better in first-time cheekpieces last time but on balance is one to avoid.

Another one who showed the wrong sort of attitude on debut unseating the rider at the start at this track. Very green and showed little when completing at Wincanton and now makes her hurdles debut after a break; others appeal more.

Two hurdles starts so far separated by a gap of 6-months and has shown nothing so far having started big prices and been beaten a long way on each occasion.

Forecasts

Oakley (11/10), Good Boy Bobby (2/1), Cervaro Mix (9/4), Massini Man (9/2), Eceparti (7/1), Lookforarainbow (25/1), Armattiekan (33/1), Arcade Attraction (40/1), Mix Of Clover (50/1), Edabean (100/1), Viva La Vega (150/1), Stoney Cross (150/1)

Verdict

Not an event that looks to have any considerable depth with the three running under a penalty plus Oakley being the main contenders and the weight he receives plus the experience he’s not had may well see him take another step forward. Of those with a penalty Massini Man looks to have the most to do with his win having come in a weak event at Hereford with that form not being franked as yet. Cervaro Mix did beat a subsequent winner last time but this track/trip does look on the sharp side and GOOD BOY BOBBY is handed a good chance to get back on the winning trail after failing to defy a penalty on testing ground at Ffos Las last time.
  1. Good Boy Bobby
  2. Oakley
  3. Cervaro Mix
