Promising start when third at the Curragh in August over 7f having gone off a 50/1 chance, scored here next time over same trip. Should be right there over additional furlong.

Grandmaster Flash19

Stayed on well to finish close second over 7f in a maiden here on debut, promise of plenty more to come and longer trip suits fine. Big player getting weight from main rival.

More than 5L off the winner on debut here last month over this trip. Should improve for the run, has to in order to have major say.

Unfancied 66/1 chance on debut here last month over this trip, offered something to work on and should build on that now.

Plenty to find with Grandmaster Flash based on debut runs here last month, seems unlikely to turn that form around.

Metal Man

Australia colt is closely related to winner up to 1m4f Richie Richie amongst others. Dam was a Group 3 winner for this trainer and makes some appeal on paper for this first sojourn to the races.

Out On Friday19
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-2| J: D E Sheehy(5)| T: P Byrne
100/1
Long way off the pace on debut here last time, race in which Grandmaster Flash finished second. Stiff task.

Forecasts

Grandmaster Flash (4/6), Playa Del Puente (13/8), Metal Man (20/1), Hereia (25/1), Lord Wimborne (40/1), Lynden Tree (66/1), Out On Friday (100/1)

Verdict

GRANDMASTER FLASH and Playa Del Puente appear the pair to focus on as both step up from 7f. The latter won well here on second start and should improve but he carries a penalty and that might make the difference. The selections finished a good second on debut (front pair miles clear) and should also come on for that experience. The weight he receives tilts the verdict his way. Hereia should improve from the debut run while newcomer Metal Man is entitled to have plenty ability on breeding and is one to note in the betting.
  1. Grandmaster Flash
  2. Playa Del Puente
  3. Metal Man
