Smart hurdler who finished last season with wins over 3m2f on heavy at both Fontwell and Kelso. Resumes up 5lb and, although he has never won when fresh, he has to be taken very seriously.
Yet to win outside Scotland (Ayr 5, Kelso 1), but stays 3m2f and acts on testing ground. Last seen over hurdles winning in March last year, when 10lb lower. Improved over fences since, but fell last time. Not ruled out.
Dual 2m4f winner here on his two runs since joining this trainer. Acts on soft. Up another 7lb for most recent success, which he did comfortably. Will probably stay. Claims.
6-12 over hurdles. Stays 3m2f on soft ground. Beaten just a short head at Ffos Las on his reappearance. Up 7lb for that, so improvement needed.
Stays well and relishes deep ground. 6lb lower than his last win, and conditions probably faster than ideal when well held in the spring. Has won when fresh and can't rule him out.
13-race maiden who went as close as he ever has to winning when ½L third in a Newcastle novice event last time (2m6f, soft). Up 1lb for that with new headgear combination being tried. Can't write him off this time.
All three of his wins have been on heavy, so any further rain would be welcomed. Stays 3m, though yet to race over this far. Could be competitive if a recent chase reappearance has sharpened him up.

A cracking contest in prospect. Kris Spin clearly has the ability to have a big say here, but his record when fresh is a concern, while Big River is interesting back over hurdles. He was going well in a good Newcastle chase last time when falling. Aspen Colorado looks a major player, while Flashjack and Isaacstown Lad are others not ruled out. However, NOT MANY LEFT is a very interesting Irish raider who looks to be going the right way, and he may yet prove a fair bit better than this initial handicap mark.
