Well held two starts last month over 3m at Punchestown and Limerick, this perhaps an easier task and could get in the mix.

Off the mark over timber at Down Royal last month over this trip on second start for this yard. Yet to be asked for maximum effort since Punchestown when coming to grief. Possibilities.

Maiden hurdle winner at Limerick on heavy going over 2m6f back in 2016, had lost way over fences when last spotted in May but unexposed in this sphere on return.

Disappointed in three summer maiden hurdles at up to 2m5f, all on good ground. Won a point-to-point at Rathcannon last month so not coming here without hope of better on handicap bow.

Scored sole hurdles success at Tipperary (3m, good) in May, rated 87, capable of going well from increased mark, albeit most recent effort in September at Listowel was a poor one.

Maiden hurdle form earlier this year nothing to get excited about, though has been competitive in succession of Flat runs more recently and by no means discounted now.

1-24 over hurdles. Place claims at her best, but clearly not easy to win with and recent efforts less than convincing.

Been struggling off similar marks of late but did bounce back to form on rain-softened ground at Ayr on penultimate start. Has around 10L to find with Brosna George on Down Royal meeting last month.

Dual winning hurdler way back in 2012, pulled up on stable debut at Limerick last month returning from 442 days off. Hard to be enthusiastic.

Fair sixth in a 2m handicap hurdle at Thurles (good) in November and since finished second off an 8lb higher mark at Fakenham. Mare needs considering on that evidence.

Three-time winner over jumps but not since 2016. Well held in three good-ground starts in the summer, drops another 4lb in the ratings here.

Well held in four starts since finishing runner-up over 2m6f at Downpatrick (yielding) in August. Others hold stronger claims in this contest.

Unplaced in 10 starts under rules, including when beaten close to 60L at Navan (2m6f, yielding) last week. Tough to see a big turnaround.

Mixed bag, better effort last time at Thurles (2m6½f, good) late last month. Unexposed over this sort of trip and could have potential for better in an open event.

Unconvincing in five previous starts over hurdles, latest when 26L third of 12 over 2m5f (heavy) at Limerick in April. Runs form the same mark here (First Reserve).

Verdict

The mare SLAINTE AND THANKS was runner-up at Fakenham last time, running into a well-backed winner, whilst coming well clear of the remainder. She returns to these shores and runs from an 8lb lower rating, ensuring there's a good chance of compensation. Krujers Girl is unexposed over this trip and needs a close look in the betting while similar comments go for Mystique Heights, poor in maidens over timber but potentially with more to offer now handicapping after some solid Flat efforts. Down Royal winner Brosna George was yet to be popped the question when coming down at Punchestown and is in the mix, with Clontarf also worth considering now eased in grade.
  1. Slainte And Thanks
  2. Brosna George
  3. Krujers Girl
