Has been sent off at big prices and been well beaten on both starts. Can only watch.
Wincanton bumper winner (good to soft) who has fallen in both starts over hurdles. Looked likely to have gone close last time at Chepstow, and should be a major player if handling fast ground and with a clear round.
Well beaten on debut and failed to complete last time on his hurdles introduction. Most likely best watched.
Runner-up in a Bangor bumper on debut, when showing promise. Unable to build on that on his recent hurdles debut at Southwell. Interesting if able to get back on track, but does have that to prove.
Has shaped with some promise in a couple of starts, particularly on her hurdles debut at Ludlow in October. Backward step at Hereford last time, so improvement needed to figure.
Showed significant improvement on his bumper run when tried over hurdles for the first time at Hereford last month (2m, good). Needs a fair bit more than that to win this, but entitled to enter calculations for the frame.
Yet to show much in bumpers/over hurdles and needs significant improvement on what we have seen to figure.
Market drifter ahead of his debut in a Fontwell bumper last month. Finished 26L fourth there, but nice pedigree and bred to jump, so may be able to produce significantly better.
Improved in all her first three starts, culminating in a Fontwell bumper win by 7L (good) in September. Listed company proved too much for her at Cheltenham last time, but she remains of interest on her hurdles debut.
Showed a bit of promise in one of her three bumpers for Alan King, but took a backward step on her hurdles/stable debut at Warwick last time. May have needed that after a break, but does have a bit to prove.
Prolific winner on the Flat at up to 1m2f, (0R 81) though largely at around 1m. Changed hands privately recently and is both hooded and tongue tied for this hurdles debut. Interesting.
Showed some ability in bumpers, but not seen since being well beaten on her hurdles debut in May 2016. Can only watch.
Forecasts
Ebony Gale (11/10), Malaspina (9/2), Precious Bounty (8/1), Debrouillard (9/1), Cardigan Bay (12/1), Panic And Run (12/1), Sign Of War (25/1), Go As You Please (25/1), Raise Your Shades (50/1), Hurricane Minnie (50/1), Missesgeejay (100/1), French Piece (100/1)
Malaspina is very interesting in a weak race, now that she tries hurdles for a top stable. She could go well, though there are slight stamina doubts about her, which is not the case with EBONY GALE. For her, it is jumping that is an obvious issue, but in the hope that she can go clear, she is given the nod. Stablemate Precious Bounty is not written off, while Go As You Please, Sign Of War and Cardigan Bay are others who could go well.
- Ebony Gale
- Malaspina
- Cardigan Bay
