Horse silk
50/1
Promise shown in point-to-points in Ireland but likely won't be fulfilling that until getting more of a stamina test.
Makes some appeal on pedigree and should have future over timber. Unfancied in betting for Chepstow bumper on debut and duly faded late on.

Eur Gone West54
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-7| J: T Scudamore| T: D Pipe
13/8
Nothing to report in two bumper starts but much better on hurdles bow over C&D (fourth) having undergone a wind operation. Should be more to come.
Some promise show at Bangor (2m½f, good to soft) last month in what likely was a better race than this one and form looks to be suggesting that. Can do better.
Irish point-to-point winner, well held in three novice/maiden hurdles in Britain over much further distances. Better effort last time at Southwell (3m, good).
6
Horse silk
100/1
Failed to complete in two of three starts over timber and beat nothing home previously on debut. Big prices in all three instances and seemingly up against it again.
7
Horse silk
5/2
Runner-up at Worcester on hurdles bow in September over 2m on good-ground. Finished midfield here over C&D on soft next time, with 8L to find on Eur Gone West. Should be more to come.
8
Horse silk
16/1
Fair sort on the Flat, though no recent form to boast of. Will have stamina to prove no diverting attention to this sphere for the first time.
9

Little Rory Mac59
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-7| J: L Heard| T: Henry Oliver| BF
25/1
Runner-up in Hereford bumper on debut in April, though couldn't justify favouritism subsequently at Hexham in October. Hurdles debut and more needed.
10
Horse silk
14/1
Fair sort on the Flat, not shown immediate potential in two starts over timber, 100/1 remote fourth of 12 latest at Bangor (2m3½f, soft) this month. Can likely make better strides once handicapping.

Tanrudy47
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-7| J: Danny Cook| T: N J Hawke
33/1
Tailed off on rules bow over 2m3f at Carlisle in October on good ground. Large splash of improvement required, but had shown some promise in Irish point-to-points.
A 16-race maiden on the Flat, it would take a major turnaround in fortune to see that sequence ending on this hurdling bow.
14
Horse silk
80/1
33/1 poke and last of seven on debut in a bumper at Ludlow in May, best watched going hurdling on first start since.

Forecasts

Eur Gone West (13/8), Kitikat (5/2), From The Heart (9/2), Esprit Du Large (12/1), Johnny Ocean (14/1), Star of Rory (14/1), Leader Writer (16/1), Little Rory Mac (25/1), Tanrudy (33/1), Dr Oakley (50/1), Sundance Boy (50/1), Mossing (80/1), Lady Natasha (100/1), Justthegrey (100/1)

Verdict

Plenty of these with it all to prove seemingly. EUR GONE WEST finished fourth over C&D in October on first start over hurdles and having undergone a wind op. Any improvement now will surely see David Pipe's charge going close. Kitikat has around 8L to find with the selection on that form and is deemed likely to be on the premises while From The Heart is another to consider having shaped with some promise at Bangor in a better race last time. Hurdles debutant Esprit De Large is worth a second glance in the betting for trainer Evan Williams.
  1. Eur Gone West
  2. Kitikat
  3. From The Heart
