Mare who has very much found her voice (and feet) post wind surgery. Southwell success (2m, good) backed up with smooth Ludlow conditionals win (2m5f, soft) and feared again with mark unchanged.
Easy 9L winner of a good ground Southwell bumper on debut in September 2017 and fairly highly tried thereafter; things haven't exactly gone as planned over hurdles so far but more like it at Newcastle latest and can go well now.
Signs of ability in a couple of bumpers and four starts over hurdles. Well held both starts in handicaps and needs these new cheekpieces to bring significant improvement.
Placed in all three of her bumpers but so far unable to match that promise in four starts over timber. Held on handicap bow at Exeter in the spring, sports tongue-tie on return and eased 4lb.
Some promise show in three starts in maiden hurdles so far, may do better now sent handicapping and one to note in the betting.
Ex-Flat winner for Mark Johnston, improving with experience over hurdles and should handle softer ground today, capable of being in the mix.
Point-to-point winner but three efforts over hurdles so far have left plenty to be desired, likely going to be best watched here again.
12-race maiden, new headgear is added today and handicap mark sliding, but must improve on all known form to be a key player here.
Improved out of sight to win at Wincanton (2m4f, good to firm) on penultimate start last month, couldn't match that form seven days later at Taunton under penalty. Further 4lb added today.
Some glimmers of ability but well held in two starts since going handicapping and others make more appeal for now.
Well-backed for recent handicap bow at Warwick (2m5f, soft) and had champion jockey booked for the ride, though was soon in trouble and pulled up. That was off a 317-day layoff, so should be straighter here.
Modest form in four starts over timber, including handicap bow at Southwell (2m, good) last month. Needs to improve, untried over this trip and on soft ground.
Maiden in all spheres and no sign of a breakthrough coming over hurdles/fences. Better effort at Warwick (2m5f, soft) last time when 4L second of 10. No certainty to build on that now.
Forecasts
Stop Talking (1/1), Costante Via (8/1), Neetside (9/1), Rule The Ocean (12/1), Definite Winner (12/1), Diva Du Maquis (14/1), Maronette (16/1), Rococo Style (16/1), Talkingpicturestv (20/1), Katebird (20/1), Dauphiness (25/1), Sienna Royale (28/1), Bean Liath (50/1)
STOP TALKING has been thriving since her wind operation and made it back-to-back successes when scoring at Ludlow on her first attempt over 2m5f. That soft-ground success bodes well and she escapes a penalty as it was a conditionals' race. Jonjo O'Neill Jnr can make use of his claim this time, and they should be hard to beat. Ex-Flat winner Katebird is improving all the time over jumps and can get involved while Rococo Style was much better at Newcastle latest. The market spoke for Dauphiness on handicap bow at Warwick before she was pulled up, so she needs monitoring with more fitness on her side this time.
- Stop Talking
- Katebird
- Rococo Style
