Far from disgraced in the Troytown at Navan recently, entitled to be competitive from reduced mark over hurdles though others probably have more scope.
Yet to see anything like his best in low-mileage 2018 campaign on the Flat and over timber, held over C&D last month and must up his game despite 2lb drop in ratings.
Disappointed connections in a series of gloomy displays in three starts towards the end of last year and then pulled up at Cork (3m, soft to heavy) in April. Changed yards since, one to note in betting.
French import, unimpressive in three Irish starts so far, latest a 38L defeat over this C&D a month ago. Hard to summon any confidence currently.
Not a lot of miles on the clock for 11-years-old, won two of his last four starts since December. Now returns for seasonal bow and wouldn't need to discount.
Winner over hurdles and fences in August 2017 over 2m4f-3m, fair run off this mark at Kilbeggan (2m, good) in June. Closely matched with some of these on last month's C&D run, though needs to build on that return.
Beat Swingbridge into second when winning over 2m4f (heavy) here in January. Ran well enough in three further starts off this rating, goes well fresh and will handle better ground so may be worth an interest.
Winner of two of his 11 hurdle starts achieving a rating of 101 following a win at Cork (2m4f, soft to heavy) in March. Held back there over fences last month, handicapped to his best back over timber.
Winner on the Flat but yet to win in six hurdles starts. Stepping up in trip having finished 18L fifth over an extended 2m at Wexford (yielding) in October. Stiff enough task on form.
The fitting of blinkers has resulted in a couple of improved performances at Cork and Galway recently. Has work to do here and not getting any younger, just 3-40 over timber.
Improved effort on third hurdles start at Fairyhouse (2m4f, good), has a bit more to find now going handicapping but it's possible and positive jockey booking means he needs a second look.
Most recent of four hurdles wins came here three years ago, mixed bag since, though didn't run too badly over 3m at Down Royal last month and has eased another 2lb since.
Maiden after 10 starts over timber but banging on the door lately, including ½L second over this sort of trip at Thurles nine days ago. 3lb higher now but capable of getting involved once more.
Unplaced in four starts over timber, including 40L defeat on handicap bow at Limerick (3m, good to yielding) recently. Plenty to work on for now.
Not a great deal to get excited about in five runs last season including a number of heavy hurdles defeats. Watching brief on return to action.
Four-race maiden hurdler for trainer Claire Dyson, soon in trouble over 2m at Thurles last month on debut for this trainer. Goes up in trip now and has to improve markedly.
Unplaced in nine previous starts under rules, been kept busy in point-to-points recently and running fair races but others have plenty more appeal today.
Maiden hurdler, ran best race so far when runner-up over C&D last month (plenty of these in behind) and has only gone up 2lb so will be in the mix again with a repeat showing.
Winner on stable bow last month at Thurles over similar trip, shedding maiden tag at 13th time of asking over timber. Carries additional 7lb for narrow win, so likely must build on that showing in competitive heat.
Improving over fences with two wins this year, including last month over 3m at Down Royal off a mark of 105. Much lower mark here, albeit hasn't looked as competent over hurdles in the past.
A 33-race maiden over jumps, ran one of his better races last time at Fairyhouse over fences but not enough to be wading in behind him now.
Unplaced and uncompetitive in seven-race hurdling career, a lot of ground to make up Lady Quill from recent Thurles meeting and easier to look elsewhere surely.
Filly beaten wide margins in three maiden hurdles, though she did show some ability in August on debut in a bumper at Down Royal. Makes handicap debut here and could be capable of better.

He Knows My Name has improved over fences and catches the eye from his much lower hurdles mark, but he's not impressed previously in this sphere and is opposable. Olive D'haguenet on the other hand impressed here (second) last time and can go well again while Lady Quill made a winning stable debut at Thurles and is respected despite going up 7lb. WEE SMALL HOURS won here in January, has been competitive from this mark since and handles all ground. He also goes well fresh and should give a decent account today. Swingbridge, Battling Spirit and Askari all command attention in a wide open contest.
