Took form to new levels last season winning this and subsequent Cheltenham Grade Two before coming unstuck in Gold Cup and back here for Grade One. Won Charlie Hall on return with little fuss and is very hard to beat at this level.

Handles all ground and gained fourth chase success when scoring at Wetherby first time out before slightly disappointing as favourite at Ayr. Mountain to climb at the weights here and surprise if he is competitive.

50/1 second in last year's King George an exceptional effort and far and away a career best. Beaten out of sight here by same rival subsequently so almost certainly flattered. Fell at the first on return but clear second best here.

Brilliant winner of the 2017 Grand National and rated by some as the best chance of a dual winner in years but injury caused him to miss all last season. All roads again lead to here in April and surprising if he's ready to do himself justice here.

Verdict

DEFINITLY RED seemingly comes up a few pounds short of the very top class but Brian Ellison's stable star is nevertheless a very high class chaser and nearly unbeatable in Grade Two contests so is confidently selected here to follow up his Charlie Hall win first time out. A faller in that contest, Double Shuffle is undoubtedly a threat especially getting 6lb from his main rival and he can't be dismissed. It is great to see One For Arthur back on the track and it will be interesting to see how he fares here with the 2019 National surely the plan.
  1. Definitly Red

  3. One For Arthur
