Had shown form prior to his win at Exeter in April to sign off the season with, and that piece of form looks decent enough at this level now. 8lb higher here, and there are concerns this track may not suit, so more to do after an absence today.

Thrown in on best form but you've got to go back to 2015 to find the last time he entered the winners enclosure. Not finishing his races off with any gusto these days and not hard to look elsewhere for the winner.

Related to a couple of jumps winners and bred to stay well, not shown a lot in five starts so far but not disgraced at Uttoxeter two starts back and possible the cheekpieces tried today will have a positive effect. Not discounted.

Stays very well and was a ready winner at Uttoxeter in June, 6lb higher still today but tends to run his race more often than not and as long as the ground doesn't get too soft, should be on the premises again.

No more than very minor promise in six starts so far, although dropped a bit of a hint at better to come at Hexham last time. Looks a thorough stayer on evidence seen so far, cheekpieces given a try today and the advice is to watch the market.
6
Horse silk
Lammturner27
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-2| J: Danny Cook| T: Miss J E Foster| OR:  82

Sent off 100-1 all five starts so far but has shown very little, no improvement for going into handicaps last time and hard to make any sort of case for at present.
7
Horse silk
Oliver's Islandb134
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-2| J: Philip Armson(7)| T: Sean Conway| OR:  82

Did little of note for Jamie Snowden in 2017 and first start for new yard at Uttoxeter was no better. Steps up in trip, which might help, but needs the new headgear to have a major effect.

Just one win in 24 starts, that coming at Leicester (over 2m) at the turn of the year. Going nowhere quickly on recent evidence and although well handicapped, needs to turn things around pretty quickly.

Horse silk
Rockup1,t1617
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-0| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR:  80

Sent off huge prices all seven starts so far, but has now joined a top yard who have form for turning these sorts around quickly. Has to be high on the shortlist despite not being seen for almost 21 months.

Horse silk
Dolly's Dot27
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-12| J: B S Hughes| T: V Thompson| OR:  78

Was found a little race at Sedgefield in March but last couple of efforts have been below par and this trip asks a new question too. Others look stronger.

Frosty Dawn264
Age: 10|  Weight: 10-8| J: Lorcan Murtagh(3)| T: M E Sowersby| OR:  74

Almost caused a 50-1 shock at Southwell in February but hasn't completed in two starts since then. Did run well after a break that day though, so may be best caught fresh, and folly to dismiss completely for local yard.

Forecasts

Rocku (11/8), Point N Shoot (3/1), The Manuscript (7/2), Waltz Darling (14/1), Dee Star (16/1), Simply Lucky (20/1), Indian Reel (20/1), Dolly's Dot (25/1), Oliver's Island (66/1), Frosty Dawn (66/1), Lammturner (80/1)

Verdict

Point N Shoot might give this a go from the front but a more galloping track might suit, and in a winnable contest, THE MANUSCRIPT might be worth a try. He's hinted at ability and now he gets cheekpieces, it's entirely possible he'll finish his race off better and leave his form behind. Dee Star would be interesting if the market speaks in his favour and .Rockuwill be well fancied to score on his first start for a new yard and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him on top come the finish. For those wanting something at an each-way price, Frosty Dawn might give you a run for your money.
