Handicap hurdle winner over 3m3f on good ground at Sedgefield in September. Held in four subsequent starts and worth a check in the market dropped into a seller.
Winner four times over hurdles including at Ffos Las (2m4f, heavy) in April. Well beaten on seasonal debut in a 2m6f contest at the same venue a fortnight ago and is one to note with blinkers tried for the first time.
Good second over 2m1f at Newton Abbot (good) in early September. Fair fifth at Plumpton (2m, good) later that month and is interesting following a break.
Disappointing in two starts since finishing runner-up at Perth (3m, good) in a handicap chase off a mark of 131 in September. Looks the pick of his trainers two runners dropping markedly in grade on his return to hurdling.
Ran well to finish 1L second at Exeter (2m1f, good-to-firm) in first time blinkers on his penultimate start. Has been set a tough task at these weights.
Dual winner for Nicky Henderson in 2014 but not had much racing in recent years. Beaten 1¼L in a 2m4f claiming hurdle at Worcester (good) in first time cheekpieces (retained) on debut for this yard in August and is returning from a break.
Forecasts
Oscar Hoof (11/8), Never Equalled (7/2), Regulation (5/1), Rightdownthemiddle (6/1), King's Song (12/1), Elysian Prince (16/1), Shadow's Boy (20/1)
OSCAR HOOF was returning from an absence when placed in a claiming hurdle last time out and he can go one better than when finishing runner-up that day. The trip and ground should both suit and he can get the better of useful chaser Rightdownthemiddle who can get the better of the blinkered Never Equalled in the battle for second.
