Point-to-point winner who has shown little in a bumper and two spins over hurdles. No great appeal outside handicaps.
Soundly beaten on first two starts under Rules, but improved when 37½L fifth of 17 to Royal Rendezvous in maiden at Galway last time. Good jockey booked, and likely to do better again, so not dismissed.
Much his best effort when 6¼L fifth of 14 to Galtymore in maiden hurdle at Cork on debut. Hasn't gone on from that, however, and needs to get back on track now.
Poor in bumpers for Bill Harney, but much improved when 19 lengths fifth of 14 to Felix Desjy in maiden at Galway on hurdling debut. Should have more to offer.
Well beaten in bumpers, although seemed to show some improvement in a tongue tie at Clonmel last month. Not overfaced for hurdles debut, but needs to do better.
Has looked a long-term prospect in three runs to date, and again in need of the experience when ninth in a big field at Naas on hurdles bow. This is easier, and no surprise to see him improve markedly for in-form yard.
Couple of respectable efforts in bumpers in the summer which would give him claims, but ran poorly on hurdles bow after a break at Roscommon in October, and needs to put that behind him.
Ran badly in a bumper and on hurdles debut, but much better when 22¾L fourth of 13 to Jan Maat in maiden at Fairyhouse last time. Needs to improve again, but may yet do so.
Best effort over hurdles when fourth behind Park Paddocks on debut at Cork, but has failed to progress from that, for all he was entitled to need the run last time.
More exposed than most in here but has shown bits of ability, and better than bare result when eighth of 21 at Navan in March. Absent since, but claims if fully tuned up.
Represents a top yard, but has looked very limited to date, finishing tailed off on hurdles debut at Thurles last month.
Hasn't shown much in three starts, merely passing beaten rivals after racing well off the pace at Cork on hurdles bow.
Exposed as just a modest sort in handicaps, although not disgraced in that sphere at Fairyhouse last month, and in a pretty weak race reverting to maiden company.
Forecasts
Smoking Gun (9/4), Makka Pakka (7/2), Getaday (7/2), Dynamic Allen (8/1), Longtimesincejaspr (10/1), A Dos No Bueno (16/1), Golan Cloud (20/1), Watching Brief (33/1), Kiss Me Kayf (33/1), Dix De Der (33/1), Brazen Bay (50/1), Popcorn Sutton (50/1), Lesssaidthebetter (66/1)
SMOKING GUN has been learning on the job in three runs to date, and takes a marked drop in class here, so is taken to score for his in-form yard. Makka Pakka and A Dos No Bueno stepped up on previous efforts last time, and have place claims with further improvement likely.
