Runner-up to the admirable Lady Buttons in a Wetherby Mares' Listed race (2m) on her penultimate start and upped a further 4lb for her most recent 2m Huntingdon win; any considerable rain could place a sizeable dent in her chances of following up.

Back over hurdles recently following a productive spell on the Flat; driven out to repel Shambra by a neck at Fontwell (2m3f, good) latest; a subsequent 3lb rise is fair but equally this rates as a slightly deeper race (Cl 2).

Front-runner who boasts C&D winning form (1-1) and also handles soft ground; below par on her seasonal reappearance (2m4f) but further wind surgery could prove helpful; much respected back at the minimum trip.

On an upward curve in the spring winning back-to-back 2m heavy ground contests at Towcester and Hereford; now 5lb higher than for the second of those two wins; raised in grade (Cl 4 to Cl 2); forecast rain could prove to be a leveller.

Verdict

A small field but potentially a very tricky puzzle with the weather forecast in mind. Should Ludlow miss the worst of the forecast rain the likeliest winner would be the bang in-form Mystic Sky. However, such a scenario looks unlikely and that brings the soft ground proven trio of Giveaway Glance, Llantara and FLORAL BOUQUET firmly into contention. The selection is defending an unbeaten record at this track, will almost certainly be in there vying for the lead from the outset and can be excused a rare below-par performance at Fakenham (2m4f) 47-days ago.
