Generally consistent and found only an in-form filly too good at Lingfield latest over this trip. Goes up 2lb for that, but no reason not to mount another challenge as a former C&D winner.

A little underwhelming in two of three starts on turf back in the spring. Given a chance by the assessor ahead of AW bow though and worth noting in betting.

2017 Lincoln winner, not able to get head in front since (20 starts). Ran second in Wolverhampton claimer over 1m1½f latest and impossible to dismiss in this grade.

Three-time C&D winner, not in that sort of form recently and remains handicapped on best effort but has in-form Tom Marquand for company and never ruled out around here.

Lightly-raced, has won all three starts since a wind operation after debut. Latest on handicap bow at Lingfield over this trip (second has won since). Up 3lb and game sort should go well again.

Consistent sort but record of 2-28 tells a story. Needs to get away quicker and no surprise if settling for minor money once more.

Came with a late run to land 7f claimer at Lingfield last month. Starts life for new yard over a mile and certainly not out of his reach to go well from current mark.

Never got involved over C&D last time, out the back and finishing stone last. Hard to make case for on that evidence.

Won an Irish maiden over 1m2½f on soft ground at Roscommon in August. Held in two handicaps since. Has left Joseph O'Brien and has plenty to prove on form dropped in distance for new yard.

C&D winner in January, in and out performer since though and bit to prove coming here off the back of his second wind operation. On a good mark if he turns up in the mood.

Well held over C&D last time, has shown some form for this trainer and handicap mark is dropping, but has to take a step forward.

Long-standing maiden now, no progress last time for fitting of cheekpieces (retained) and overall has plenty on his plate it seems.

Knows where the winning post is, with four successes this year, the latest over 7f off a mark of 73 at Wolverhampton in May. Runner-up there over 1m1½f last month off this rating. Could have claims back down in distance.

Forecasts

Sun Hat (7/2), Juanito Chico (11/2), Lacan (6/1), Come On Tier (8/1), Ventura Blues (9/1), Bobby Biscuit (10/1), Bravery (11/1), Zalshah (12/1), Critical Thinking (14/1), Zoraya (16/1), Ambient (20/1), Scofflaw (20/1), Oud Metha Bridge (25/1), Ace Combat (40/1)

Verdict

SUN HAT continues to thrive and once again did just enough to get his hat-trick at Lingfield last time. The runner-up has boosted that form and a 3lb rise might not halt Simon Crisford's game charge now. Ventura Blues is also in good form while Critical Thinking could have a chance down in distance for a trainer and jockey going well. Come On Tier is worth noting in the betting back from a break while 2017 Lincoln winner Bravery retains enough ability to be a danger in this grade.
