A tricky contest this with a scattering of flat, point-to-point and hurdles form to go on. The vote goes to Kim Bailey's
NEWTIDE who started out under rules in a decent looking contest at Chepstow but acquitted himself well to finish fourth. With that race his first in 19 months he is entitled to have come on plenty fitness wise now and is bred to appreciate this longer trip.
Modern Warfair performed to a similar level finishing fourth at Exeter and he shaped like a genuine stayer there so should also go well.
Halloween Harry won his lone point-to-point and merits respect on rules debut for the powerful Hobbs/Johnson combination.
