First run since third in a claimer at Lingfield in May and withdrawn on intended comeback run in October when unruly in stalls.
Well beaten in three maidens and with an official mark of just 40 is very hard to fancy on these terms.
Promise in a pair of maidens at Dundalk and the drop down to 7f looks ideal after not quite lasting out over 1m latest. Trainer does well with his raids over here.
So close to getting off the mark in a 6f Chelmsford handicap in October but even that career best gives him plenty to find on these terms.
Hellvelyn gelding. First foal of a dam who won six times in her career at sprint trips. Presumably had a few issues to be making debut at this stage of the year.
Possibly raced on the wrong side of the track when just beaten in a blanket finish over 5f at Southwell last time. The third home has franked the from and on evidence from the summer the return to 7f shouldn't be a concern.
Didn't show much at 50/1 on debut and now drops down in trip but needs to make plenty of improvement in a short space of time.
Still to make the frame in eight starts and not running well enough at shorter to be of interest today.
Daughter of Captain Gerrard. Third foal and dam won over 5f. Yard not associated with debut winners and only of interest if market suggests otherwise.
No better on first run last time for current yard and 10 race maiden with a rating of just 43 is hard to fancy.
Forecasts
Captain Dan (1/1), Point Zero (3/1), Bond Street Beau (10/3), Cape Greco (16/1), Charlie Alpha (20/1), Cash N Carrie (33/1), Hellofagame (40/1), Isabella Ruby (100/1), Lambrini Lullaby (100/1), Play With Me (150/1)
Few can be fancied in a weak looking finale and POINT ZERO can recoup losses having been sent off favourite the last 2 occasions. Irish challenger Captain Dan looks the obvious threat with Bond Street Beau the other to make some appeal.
- Point Zero
- Captain Dan
- Bond Street Beau
