Last win came 23 months ago at Bangor off 3lb lower mark but stayed on nicely on seasonal reappearance and every chance he will be there or thereabouts with top jockey on board.

Stays all day and came home well over 3m4f when scoring here last month off 5lb lower mark on good ground. Has won over hurdles on soft so going shouldn't be a problem and should see it out better than most of his rivals.

Previous C&D winner who ran reasonably well at Exeter last time and has been eased 1lb. Well handicapped on the pick of his form and stable very much among the winners of late so has to be respected.

Won bumper here on Rules debut nearly three years ago but has been a frustrating customer since then. Has looked badly out of form in his two starts this term and is now 5lb lower than last poor effort. Hard to recommend.

Ex-Irish chaser who won modest three-runner affair last term but was otherwise fairly disappointing. This looks a little too hot for his liking on seasonal reappearance although jockey booking offers a little hope..

Has dropped a hefty 27lb over the last two seasons and this prominent racer faded fast and was tailed off at Exeter on his seasonal reappearance. May be better for the run but has a lot to prove at present.

All five career wins have come over hurdles, including at this track, but has yet to score over fences despite falling mark. Returns after eight-month absence and likely to be better for the outing even in first-time blinkers.

Unseated rider when holding narrow lead her in September over shorter trip and remains very much unexposed, especially now trying a much longer distance. Poor run last time when made favourite but improvement cannot be ruled out.

Dropped back in trip and won at Fontwell on final start last term. Back up in distance and makes seasonal return running from 4lb out of the handicap so looks to have plenty to do on these terms.

Forecasts

Sartorial Elegance (5/2), Cheque En Blanc (4/1), Cabragh (9/2), Clondaw Bisto (11/2), Cadeau Du Bresil (7/1), Invicta Lake (17/2), Sonoftheking (10/1), Umberto D'olivate (16/1), The Tin Miner (20/1), Burgess Dream (25/1)

Verdict

With his yard very much in form, SARTORIAL ELEGANCE is narrowly preferred in a competitive race that is likely to prove a thorough test of stamina. There are plenty of dangers with Cheque En Blanc very much among them, as too is Cabragh who caught the eye keeping on well last time out. Top weight Sonoftheking, The Tin Miner, and Umberto D'Olivate, potentially well handicapped on the pick of his old form, are others worthy of consideration.
