Solid form in two bumpers last season but didn't look a natural and unseated rider halfway when leading at Taunton recently. Plenty of potential but needs to brush up his jumping.

€145,000 purchase in 2016 being related to a number of useful French jumps performers. Went close in bumper on British debut but has disappointed all three starts since, including when beaten a long way over hurdles at Hereford three weeks ago.
Winning point-to-pointer but has looked decidely moderate in two starts so far under Rules and appears to have plenty on his plate once again.
4 wins at Newcastle 1m4f AW two years ago but got no further than first flight when unseating his rider at Fontwell on first start for 16 months. Hard to know how much ability he retains.

Didn't threaten but not beaten far in either bumper start to date. Represents good yard and may do better over timber. Interesting to see if he attracts any market support.

Went close on debut in Fontwell bumper in the spring and again showed promise when respectable fifth at Ascot last month. Makes hurdling debut and could well be there or thereabouts with a clear round.

Beaten a very long way on only start in a bumper having been well backed so may have shown ability at home. Represents a shrewd yard so too early to dismiss him as lacking ability.
French bumper winner and landed incident packed Newton Abbot novice hurdle on second start for current yard. Fair effort when sixth to useful performer at Chepstow latest so has obvious claims.

Showed a little ability in four starts last term for Martin Hill, best effort when third on final outing at Newton Abbot in May. A little long on the tooth so likely to find a few too good once again.

Decent form last term running well all three starts and winning Uttoxeter heavy ground bumper in April. Should make her mark over hurdles not band may not be far away on this first attempt.

Four wins on the Flat at up to 1m3f but showed little in only two starts on the level this season and has plenty to prove on that evidence.

Won Irish mares maiden point-to-point but has been soundly beaten a long way on both starts so far under Rules and looks outclassed in this company on that evidence.

Forecasts

Empreinte Reconce (7/4), Rosy World (5/2), Coole Well (7/1), Duc De Beauchene (7/1), Manning Estate (9/1), Audora (12/1), Glorious Boru (14/1), Johnny Rocco (33/1), Muddle Thinking (50/1), Go George Go (80/1), Tommys Geal (100/1), Windy Bottom (300/1)

Verdict

A trappy event with narrow preference for the hurdling debutante ROSY WORLD who showed plenty of ability in bumpers and has the testing ground to suit as she begins her career over timber. Newton Abbot winner Empreinte Reconce should be in the thick of the action and is respected, as too is Johnny Rocco, who along with the promising Manning Estate is another worth of consideration. Coole Well would be a danger to all if jumping a clear round this time.
  1. Rosy World
  2. Coole Well
  3. Empreinte Reconce
