Smart bumper performer last term. Won twice in listed company and was fourth in the Grade 1 Cheltenham Festival bumper. Beaten odds-on on hurdles debut in heavy ground at Ffos Las last month but should strip fitter now and looks a leading contender.
Won Huntingdon bumper on racecourse debut in March and finished good third on only start this term in Cheltenham bumper. Dam full sister to Tidal Bay, so bred to be decent over jumps and is respected.
Black Sam Bellamy gelding who has hinted at potential in two starts but probably will do better when going chasing in due course. Yard in good form so any market interest is worth noting.
Soundly beaten on only bumper start last term but did better when fair fifth at Ffos Las six weks ago. Should be better for the outing and likely to have been well schooled for this hurdling bow.
Generally disappoinitng in three bumpers and a hurdles race so far and this looks another tough test. May do better in time once handicapped.
€40,000 Schiaparelli gelding who looked in need of the experience when outpaced in Exeter bumper. May well have benefitted from that experience and dam is a maiden full sister to the smart hurdler/chaser Olle Magern.
Famous Name gelding second on only start in an Irish maiden point-to-point in June. Rules debut for shrewd yard so worth a market check for any sign of confidence.
Placed 5-6 start to date including four times over hurdles so has ability. Held on bumper form by Acey Milan but should have come on for seasonal reappearance in decent Cheltenham handicap hurdle. Looks stable first string.
Showed very lttle in first three career starts for James Ewart and no better on only start so far for new connections., Very hard to see him figuring in this company.
Maiden point-to-pointer but ran with a little promise when third at Sedgefield hurdle in April on second start uner Rules. Has had wind surgery since so may have a little improvement in him but this looks a tough task.
Poor form in two point-to-point and no better in two starts under Rules so far. Looks out of his depth and is impossible to recommend.
Won Irish maiden point-to-point on only second start last April and ran well for a long way in heavy ground novice hurdle at Lingfield last month before tiring. Can do better and not without place prospects here.
Fair third in Huntingdon bumper on racecourse bow last term but well beaten on subsequent outing at Warwick soon after. Not seen since and makes hurdles debut for shrewd yard so worth looking out for any market interest.
Forecasts
Acey Milan (8/15), Breaking Waves (5/2), Kapdad (7/1), Dusky Hercules (20/1), Coastal Drift (20/1), Third Wind (40/1), Fly To Mars (40/1), Soarlikeaneagle (50/1), High Up In The Air (80/1), Parsonal (100/1), Pete's Choice (100/1), Fight For Love (100/1), Marocchino (100/1)
ACEY MILAN showed more than enough when second on his hurdles debut to suggest he should win this time with that experience under his belt. He was a very useful bumper performer last term. Breaking Waves, another bumper winner, has potential over hurdles and is respected, while the likes of Soarlikeaneagle, Dusky Hercules, Fly To Mars and Kapdad are others interesting contenders.
- Acey Milan
- Soarlikeaneagle
- Breaking Waves
