9/4
Front-runner who has twice won here over 2m (fair form both times) although he's still 5lb above his last winning mark. Has failed to really sparkle since but will be dangerous with a soft lead and the yard are in better form now; best right-handed.

50/1
Flat maiden (had three runs for Sir Mark Prescott) 0-11 overall in that sphere. Novice hurdle form hasn't really suggested that he's a winner waiting to happen switched to handicaps off what looks a stiff looking mark.

6/5
Attracted support on his handicap debut (had the look of an improver) but failed deliver on earlier promise (pulled up; jumped poorly). Showed much improved form 5 months on taking a Stratford handicap in good style; up 5lb for that victory.

22/1
Bumper winner for former yard who has yet to click over hurdles finishing well held on most of his starts. Handicapper gave him a harsh mark to begin with (100) and he's struggling to live up to those expectations; well held over 2m1f last time.

11/2
Plenty of attempts around here on his CV but just one win to show for them in 15 tries; losing run dates back to May 2016. Not disgraced of late though and 14lb below his last winning mark and could grab another place on a track he knows well.

Age: 6|  Weight: 10-0| J: Sean Quinlan| T: Mrs J C McGregor| OR:  81
15/2
A winner on handicap debut for Dan Skelton back in April 2017 off a 17lb higher mark he's shown very little for this yard. Not seen to best effect last time (held-up; plenty to do) he continues to tumble down the weights with little effect.

Forecasts

Come On Charlie (6/5), Nendrum (9/4), Urban Kode (11/2), Sierra Oscar (15/2), Patience Tony (22/1), Single Estate (50/1)

Verdict

The Hobbs stable was very much in the doldrums last season but has really sparked back into life of late with COME ON CHARLIE being a good example of that revival. He left his disappointing handicap debut well behind last time when reappearing at Stratford and a 5lb rise for that win looks more than fair with several of those behind running well since. Another yard that look to be coming into form is the Sandy Thomson barn and they run Nendrum here who has twice won here over 2m. Now tried over 4f further he’ll be dangerous with a soft lead. Urban Kode knows his way around here but hasn’t won for a while but does look good enough to gain another placing with the others struggling for form.
  1. Come On Charlie
  2. Nendrum
  3. Urban Kode
