Modest 80-rated handicapper on the Flat for trainer-Richard Fahey appears to have been rejuvenated by a wind operation in the summer, landing a hat-trick between August and October. Enters calculations.
From the yard of Chief Justice, the Elusive Pimpernel gelding impressed on hurdling debut winning a Down Royal contest over 2m½f last month on good to yielding, beating 11 rivals by 1½L. Can be expected to improve once again.
Won over C&D last month on good ground in a 16-runner maiden hurdle by 2¾L on stable debut. Has the form to make a bold bid.
Nothing of note in a number of dispiriting displays since August, well held on each occasion. Likely to find it tough going in this company.
One from five over hurdles but has a win and three places to his name over this trip finding success last month in a Gowran Park maiden ahead of 17 rivals on good ground. Yard have a 17% strike rate at this meeting in the last three years.
Has hit the frame in his last couple of hurdle starts at Punchestown and Down Royal posting respectable performances on each occasion, but, others hold stronger profiles.
Without a win in six starts on the Flat and well held on hurdling introduction in a Gowran Park maiden last month, making many mistakes in the process. Looks opposable.
Well down the field on hurdling bow on good ground last month at Punchestown over an extended 2m. Hard to construct much of a case for the filly.
Forecasts
Coeur Sublime (8/11), Chief Justice (5/1), Lever Du Soleil (5/1), Humaniste (5/1), Our Legend (16/1), Grasping At Straws (33/1), Irish Minister (66/1), So Enjoy (100/1)
The Elusive Pimpernel gelding, COEUR SUBLIME was always in control despite a final hurdling hiccup to win on debut at Down Royal last month. The three-year-old appears to be open to plenty of improvement and can see off the attentions of the more experienced Chief Justice and Lever Du Soleil. C&D winner Humaniste last month can prove to be the biggest danger if jumping more fluently than his debut last month.
- Coeur Sublime
- Humaniste
